Haha yeah, and nothing impressed them more than making her get out to stack rocks so we didn’t tip it too far over!

Pretty close to Mexico though, I’d say we were probably like 20 miles from the border at our most souther point. Might be some good prerunning for Baja out there… 🤔

That’s what I was thinking… we need to pre run this summer.

Good thing you didn’t crash it. Crashin Will doesn’t sound as cool as crashin Cole

Seeing all these Tacoma’s with the bed racks got the wheels turning in my head about getting the tent out of the back of the truck to be a bit more useful. After a few excursions, I think I want to keep the center of gravity lower and not put the tent into orbit by having it above the roofline on a rack, like this one:

    920174

I think something that gets the tent just high enough out of the bed to fit a 27.5 bike in the back and some gear would be super helpful and add even more useability to the camping/overland rig status. Drew a little design and then actually found this one on Google, some guys in Utah that I’m sure Cole, you probably know. I’d like to copy it but need to figure out how I’d make it fit with the factory rack thing. 🤔

I like that it adds some utility to the sides though, and you could still slide gear in and out when you drop the gates. Might just have to cut some holes and clearance it for all the jagd stuff…

    Build it Willy!

The more accessories on your Vanagon the cooler it is seams to be the theme with these rigs.

    Yup I called it a Vanagon…😘

We will build it if it comes.

Agreed! More accessories = more chicks… I think?

Started a project today that was pretty far down my to-do list but just sorta fell into my lap recently. Was in Oceanside and saw this doka outside of a bike shop and the owner had some door panels he was trying to get rid of that were in a lot better shape than mine.

I swapped the window switches, power mirror control, and other bits over to the new panels and they look so much better already.I think I’m gonna try to get the drivers side panel a bit wet and then squish it a bit more flat then make some caps or something to cover the window crank holes and call it good! No more duct-taped door panels!

Decided to order some Retrosound 4″ speakers while I’m in there too because mine were tired and blown.

This thing is doing great. No real news or anything to report with it, other than it being driven. Corporate took it the other day to help Audrey move some stuff and said she got comments at all the stop lights!

Not a Jadg, but thought this Tristar looked pretty cool with a Dove Blue barndoor in tow….

    My noble steed!!

This thing always comes through for me, it took me safely from GJ up to Steamboat on some slightly treacherous roads. Lots of cars in the ditch and even offered to winch one up that was down stuck in a tree right next to the river.

Spent the night in Steamboat, hung with friends, then went to Winter Park and now back in Boulder. Comfy and warm the whole way. Love it!

My first week went really well! It’s a lot of training, and still more to go, but seems like it’s a pretty legit company. Of course, it’s always tough to beat KCW…

Did some exploring with the Doka in the mountains around Boulder yesterday. Came across a cool little town called Gold Hill
