Ya right! I’m not letting some puddy get in my way! Its gonna be just me and impractical/unsafe 2 door cars for the foreseeable future.BBWBParticipantFebruary 12, 2018 at 11:00 amPost count: 872
Puddy will derail the best of intentions! Why do you think monks live on top of hills in monastery’s. 😎

That’s what I’m thinking Pat… ~30. My friends give me shit about my commitment to plans we make for later in the day… I think it’s gonna be a while before I make a commitment to something even longer…John JonesKeymasterFebruary 14, 2018 at 9:29 pmPost count: 7076
does that thing have a trailer hitch on it???WillyModeratorFebruary 15, 2018 at 9:40 amPost count: 1210
It does. Not sure what the towing capacity looks like though. I can’t imagine it’s meant for more than roaming a 4×4 trailer or something like that.WillyModeratorMarch 5, 2018 at 11:14 amPost count: 1210
Drove this beast up to Steamboat this past weekend. 314 miles round trip, comfy and warm the whole way! Like a modern car should be. Lots of room for ski gear too, and there would be even more if I took the roof tent out of the back! Only have had to swap out some burnt out brake light and headlight bulbs so far.
Stopped at the top of Rabbit Ears Pass to take some photos on the way.WillyModeratorApril 19, 2018 at 1:03 pmPost count: 1210

This thing KICKS ASS! I love it. Brought me from Fort Collins out here at 75 mph the whole way, maintained good temperatures up in down the passes, never had to change out of 4th, and filled it up with diesel when I left and had a bit left when I got here! And it rides soooo nice!! Comfy the whole time! Not much to talk about with a modern car, but in a bus!?! ??
Yeah it may be vanagon, but they deserve love too. ❤️❤️
Still has the bus feel when you drive it and this one breaks necks like crazy. Everyone stares trying to figure out what the hell it is.
And when I got here I just folded out my tent and set up my little home away from home for until my westy is finished! I think I’m going to take this out to play with the Class 11 for testing as the chase vehicle.
I think I may have to find a set of these Audi winter wheels… ?
I’ve had to do a bit of work to keep it going though. I got rid of the big spotlight on the front that didn’t even work (probably just needed a new bulb, but I wasn’t that wild about it) and swapped out the old burnt out halogen light bulbs with some new LEDs that are REALLY bright, and a lot more efficient.
Then I drove it up to Steamboat for my last mountain formal and the started to lose charge at certain rpms and was almost not charging at all near the end of the drive. Nothing that couldn’t be solved after a few hours of rolling around in a NAPA parking lot though. Swapped in a new Bosch alternator with a little more power than the old one.
Other than those little things its been really easy to live with and I’ve been using it just about every day before I got here!! I’m going to try to get around to doing a few small things on it while I’m here , but even as it sits it’s so useable!! ?????
