IMGP3474Selling my Unimog. This is a 416 ‘Mog that was built by Freightliner for the U.S. Army to “travel at convoy speeds and dig holes”. These rigs sell for around 25K nowadays, compare what your getting for that price to what you get in a vintage VW! The feds in their wisdom paid over 100 grand for this beast new in 1992 and put 1,000 miles on it before selling it for scrap – your tax dollars at work. Go anywhere and dig up anything with this bad mofo. You will be the hit of your neighborhood with this rig – talk about machismo! Be bigger, badder and more manly than all your Hummer buddies, Pick up and carry your baja to the most remote campsite while towing your friggin mobile home, has military pintle hitch and trailer brakes. Be sure to bring a big stick with you to beat back all the girls that will vie to be in the passenger seat. Has a 3/4 yard Schmidt loader bucket on the front and a full size case backhoe which unfolds from the rear- run over your foes and bury them with the same unit!  Remote hydraulic system has hoses on a return reel to run a damn jackhammer and chainsaw (tools not included). Standard ‘Mog items include badass pintle axles, disc brakes all around, rear PTO which operates the hydraulics, 8 speeds forward, 2 reverse, and full locking air difs. Mercedes OM 351 diesel motor has about 800 hours on it, tires are 1 year old, this baby is like new!

That thing is HOSS! What is the tops speed? I can see one in my future. To build sweet jumps with, or maybe a baja track.

Here is an episode of “Dirt Everyday” on You Tube about the Unimog.

I'm at the age where "fuck off", "fuck you", and "fuck it" answer most questions.

There is a National Guard Amory next to my work. I watched them rebuild one of those about for years ago. Would be great to build a road to your mountain cabin.

That video is a good representation of the SEE Tractor. I was watching, thinking no way they would drive it with the dirt working parts all that way and then off road it, they came to the realization that I did – it is overweight and drives like a marshmallow. Good for lots of things, like a swiss army knife!

Love the chevy John, but just wouldn’t work in my ‘hood.
