Yep.
Whats the deal with the German rubber backed canvas? Brown would be tasty too.
Grey/silver canvas from Lebaron Bonney like Alan’s ragtop? Get Doug to sew it so that there is no excuse.
Just a heads up, LeBaron Bonney has closed up shop. Filed Chapter 7 last month.
Steering assembled, brake reservoir hooked up and filled, hood on, and door mechs prepped for install.
What are we going to do about this top?
We could try a different supplier? Same material?

damn that sucks to hear i’ve done two separate interiors from them years apart, they were always top notch to deal with.
car is looking amazing
I say that i call global upholstery and drop ship 5yards of #2798 to Kcw. Doug redial the top like it should be. No short cuts. Make it kcw proud. What u say?
If Doug is on board? I have not talked with him.

per Doug:
“Its not Horrible…..and MITE look better in 6 months”
You should hook-up with him on this and see what next steps are since we need to keep this moving along.
I told Doug that it looked like shit and needed a new one. He said he would rather buy a pre-made unit. I contacted Chuck’s Convertible and he assured me that his are super-nice and right.
He has several colors available if you like the stayfast material.
We also need the chrome trim strips for the top while you are at it.
I emailed John about it. When he checks his email, I am sure he will chat to you about it. I think we should go the 1889SF route.
nice colour choice if you decide to go with it
will look sharp
Rhd door mechs we did not have. I made them from lhd parts. Reversed cam plate and spring on the handle mount. I’m not going to show how I did the mechs cause it was easy.
The passenger door will lock by flipping the inner handle backwards…like stock.
fiberglass glove box was thin and needed work. Painted flat grey to simulate original paper box.
Loving the little details, good work Franz
