Got to remember to bring pit crew and back up vehicle on these outback travels. I believe this qualifies as “Too much fun” ?

Daily has had an erratic idle for quite some time now. Figured it was the cracked intake boots.Β 48897A10-B3CF-49B8-83DD-618C7F6A9DB8

Pat, I’ve got the same Empi intake on 2 of my cars. Knock on wood , I haven’t had an issue yet. Are you gonna fab something up for the throttle linkage to work with the new intake?

I run a CB Per. base plate with the mount for their sheath cable. No mobs required to the intake.

Followed Franz’s advice and opened the squirters up to .060 from .050 during the cab rebuild. Much smoother acceleration.

All back together. The new intake ends are flared down so they sleeve into the end casting. That along with the heat riser make it much sturdier .Β 2038B138-6411-4B1A-A636-D4CE979CA66C7BCFC7BF-E528-4848-BBB2-17A1DBAC3023

Worked on the daily over the weekend. Pulled the 1/2 head to fix leaky pushrod tubes, and the trans to fix the torn boots I keep getting.
