And I thought that the build was gonna have to get scrapped!!! 😉 😉 🙂 Nice Work!!!!!!!!
Good Job John, I know it was a difficult area to fix 👍👏👏👏
it was the usual… fix the rips, add metal where it was missing, grind, dress, repeat… both pieces, fix em both, then marry em together!!! Thanks..
I had to work on a parkway buff job this morning.. but back on it this after noon.. 😎 working on this rear lower fender repair area…. I’ll have that done soon and move onto the next bad area.. 😎 eventually we run out of bad area’s….
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
Man, these are some desirable shit. Thanks for dropping your ‘no more lowlight/type 3 ghia’ rules Jones. Stoked to see another Juan project too.
I got that side done and starting tearing into the drivers side yesterday eve… I’ll continue on today!!!!! 😎
I think these Low Lights are just barely coming around the corner of full mature market Value!!!!!!!!!! 😎

some pics from today… Inner and outer repair to rear fender and dissected out all of the rust on the front of the wheel well and repaired some inner structure and pin holes etc.. and a bunch of pics of the headlights… These are two OG crappy buckets from out back, with 4mm screws holding them in as stock… Thats without the seal and without a chrome bezel, which goes over all of it.. I couldn’t find one of those to try… but not worried about that…. Everything looks just as it should.. 😎

Wish Gerson made lowlight panels.

Thanks Juan. another spot I fixed yesterday… Gonna do my Thursday paper work and be back on it… 😎 everything is looking and going great….!

I got that area done yesterday… moving to the front fender area now!!!!! 😎 Hoping next week to have this shell rust repaired and dusted back off… as you can see in some pics… it got sprinkled on one morning… 😎 Doesn’ really matter… they always need dusted off again, in the new metal area’s, hand prints, anything… I like dusting them off one more time before body work… what does one do that doesn’t have a blast booth right there at the shop…? 😎
Pics later Juan!
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
where I was and where I am… 😎 You see the difference in low light and later front end here…

John, here just trying to understand what it takes to work on this KG because of your back pain. All I can say is I value your effort and it’s a privilege to see the results. Enjoy your passion, my Amigo, the results are extraordinary.
it got ugly fast!! But I have cut out all the flimsy rusty metal and missing metal…. and about to start the rebuild. I’m gonna try and take a few more pics today…. 😎

I always heard Ghias were prone to rust! I guess they were correct! Am I right in thinking that the flat and low areas in the design allow water to sit and do its nasty thing?
Anyways, Great work JJ! This car will feel great when your done!
