Going to put some time in today on this…   Juan… Your making me want to dig out a low light to build for myself!!!!

Looks like maybe the 56 and 57 out back were trout blue… maybe I can find a spot nice enough to buff?

Yeah… I went out there to hack off that fender piece from one out back… and it was already hacked over itself….. 😎  so I ended up just bending some green metal and slapping it into place… 😎  Right side looking good.. Inner fender area all cleaned up out rockers etc…  I’ll probably work on this some again tomorrow… 😎

Nice work, making it look easy as usual.

    I’m a bit jealous, Juan.

That thing looked so nice coming in. Now I see it’s a real lowlight. I think they made those things out of pre-rust. wtf

Headlight repair is well underway!!!  I quickly figured out that Low light’s have a slightly larger bucket.. larger diameter.  The new bucket will slip right into the original..  and the repair pieces aren’t the right shape around the hole… so… I had to FIX EVERYTHING 😎   I’m about there…  I had to re-ring the bucket… before I can put it in…. But now, everything will be OG!!!  😎  Pics later!!!!!  I should finish it up today..

OH… Juan… You notice you are missing the bulb holders for your bullets?????  weird????

well I learned over the weekend that low lights have larger headlight buckets than later ghia’s… and today I learned that 58.5 and 59 ghia’s have the same front turn signals as up to 64.5 ghia… 😎  I guess we are fine… thanks for looking that up for me… ALL the low lights I have built were 58 and earlier I guess…

anyway.. I didn’t take any during pics of this repair.  it was a pain in the ass.. I had to weld all those cracks up first in the hole on the fender.. then bend up a lip to replace the one on the headlight bucket. grind all that shit, make it fit, nicely, which meant lots more hammer work..  but finally, it is in and repaired, with some blasting and tool mark remover… it will look perfect…. 😎

    Repaired Original Metal… 😎
