for sure not intimidating me,, but I will give you a tip, put a shock boot on your rear shocks or you will sand blast the shafts your first time out. Ask me how I know on a swing car. The front tires will blast the shafts bad and ruin the shafts and seals, I want you to finish not lose shocks

THANKS DAVE!!! I want to finish too…  I appreciate all the support!!!!   I do not have you years of class 11 experience.  and the help will be absorbed and appreciated!!  I will listen… but I am still a man, and have to fail to learn sometimes.. 😎

You think them expensive shocks are going to wear out in 100 mile race????  That seems SOOOOOOO unlikely to me…   But I dunno… I am a newbie at this shit!!!  I’m just trying to go out and have some fun with the big boys…. 😎

If my fox’s wear out in one race, I hope Fox will hook me up with a rebuild… 😎 or maybe, thats going to be common practice after every race to rebuild them shocks???

Friday Pat and JJ porta-powered the back apron to get the muffler in there…  Pat also added rear bumper and apron cage bars… JJ is calling those “Fast Felix Bars” 😉😉 JJ Painted the rims black- ready to take those to GCR tomorrow to be mounted 👍🏻 He and I also got the deck lid and rear fenders on! Lookin goooodd 👍🏻

depends where the course goes, you would be amazed how fast you can blast the shocks in that position. The front tires are murder on exposed shocks and can wreak havoc. but all you need to do is cut the boot length wize snd zip tie it to the shock and shaft to protect the shaft. I will be out at the race, if I see your car I will come say hello or if you see my red RR come say hello

Saturday JJ pulled the engine in and out 15 times he thinks… got it all figured out so it fits in there and then took it apart and prepped the fan shroud for tractor green paint!!
Landon and Corporate cut and sanded trailer boards to convert the trailer from sand rail ready to class 11 ready 👌🏻
I did lots of cleaning/prep and also got started on getting the taillights fully installed with the wires and seals 👍🏻
Franz also came in and got started on the Engine!!

Crazy how fast this is going together, Go KCW!!

Wondering if you are going to do anything to those little gems on the back fenders to keep them from falling off when the 1 screw that holds them on comes loose? Something I think of driving around the farm in my 58 rag beater.

Sunday (yesterday) – tons got done!!

Pat came in and drilled the holes on the trailer boards and was brave enough to test his bug on the trailer for JJ 😜looks like it’s gonna work!! 👌🏻👍🏻
JJ got his engine tin painted all Tractor Green and Franz continues his work on the engine!
The door nets are all secured now and with the mechs on JJ threw the doors on the car yesterday!
JJ found some bumpers on the lot, and with a little scrub I got them looking nice and shiny 🤩 put those on there too!!

Pat also fabricated a fuel filler for the passenger rear window which looks so race car  😎🏁
Franz also welded us some reinforced latches for the doors and hood 👌🏻

it’s all coming together!!! Thank you Franz and Pat for coming down this weekend to help!!
CRUNCH TIME!! – 3 more work days until the race!!

As of now, my pit crew is Gretchen!!!  Audrey is of course Co-pilot..  Not as many want to go to this race as I anticipated when we left Primm Nv all jacked up last year… 😎  😎  😎  ???

I did the first break in on the motor last night… Sounded awesome… 😎 Car is almost done… almost… and I still have tomorrow!!!!  😎

The build will be over very soon… 😎
