So much fun to play with the mill!  I am so glad I didn’t sell this place now!!!! It would be tough to duplicate agan!  And it’s exactly what I want😁😄😁😁. Perfect retirement house shop junkyard of all my favorite stuff!!!  Sorta like Jeff has!🤫

so I milled some pockets for bolts.,  then left a step in the back that indexes into the slot in the spring plate for the axle..  double indexed!!!  I’m only a couple shock tabs away from my new setup being about done 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😂👍🏻👍🏻😂😂😂

Lotta strength right there!!!!  But only what we need 🤫

A few more of the awesomeness!!!

relocated shocks, but stayed with light weight shocks…. No dragging lower shock mount, also no vulnerable shock shafts!  The top and bottom mounts of the shock are correctly oriented to reduce bind.  I had it all dickered up👎🏻   Shock moved back on the bottom and forward on the top,  so that I could get to a strong mounting point and still only have 5” shocks in the equation 😎…    And other awesomeness 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻  I was limited by bar placement too..  but I love it..  can’t wait to try it!

Wheels and tires on today!!  Gonna go for a 215/75 in the back and keep the smaller fronts..  they work on the car.👍🏻👍🏻

I don’t have a mill or lathe 🙁 wish I did all the time, like this weekend. No more room. Got to practice “enough”.

Those shock mounts look great! Never did like that bracket hanging down off the axle tube.

I am going to add one more component to my shock mount/ axle tube ultimate reinforcement!!! I’m gonna run a 1/2 bolt  through all of it..  pinch the whole unit together. The bottom of the shock mount could fall off.., and I would loose my shock!!!!
