1971 dormy found locally. I was in Moab when Helmer text me about a bay for sale he was going to pass on. We were on the trail so once I had service I contacted the seller.

Once I had the seller on the phone I recalled the bus. It’s been in Durango for over 20 years under a carport. I tried to buy it 10 years ago.

Rusty lent me the bus tow bar and my bro in law lent me his truck. Super sketchy tow home due to the tow bar not really working correctly on the bay.
while I was dealing w the owner his phone was blowing up w offers and other potential buyers. Hhahhaha

thanks Jeff, Rusty and bro in law(Brad). If it wasn’t for my friends and family I wouldn’t be able to do anything !

 

I spent a few days cleaning and trying to get her running. Changed gear oil and engine oil, new fuel lines, torqued heads, valve adjust, points, condenser, rotor, cap, wires, plugs, changed out carb and a few other things. Got her to run. Beautiful OG paint and topper tent material in great shape.
