Ya, lots more power! Deceleration pop, bog when you hit it hard, and the backfires all went away! Pretty happy. I even got to test the reserve lever on the drive yesterday haha. Never run out of gas in anything before.
I’ll get wood panels for the rest of the interior when I get back. Don’t want to start into another rabbit hole this close to the tripYa crazy…. I pulled that BBOE engine like 2 yrs ago. Been lucky to learn a lot from good friends/mentors since! Lots of miles in buses and loving every second of it! I haven’t been able to sleep for like a week! So excited for this trip. Spencer in just a couple days. Never been. Should be great!
the bed is so comfy! And yes, the bus is a lot quieter and warmer. Going to be great for road trips
Even got a CB installed today. Don’t love how I ran the antenna cord… but I don’t want to drill any holes. So I don’t know what the best way is. I ended up running it through one of the cargo vents and then ran it along the roofline inside the bus and then dropped it to the parcel tray… had to use a couple squares of tape… oh well. Maybe I’ll think of a better way soon.
Well, finally got my bus up on the rack. Didn’t see any cracks in my frame luckily. But something is going on with my driver front side… broken leaf spring in my beam probably? Saggy by a bit…. anyway. I’m going camping tomorrow, so no time for that. But I did grease my beam/spindles and re packed my bearings. Definitely had some water come out of my beam when I pumped new grease in there… haha and my drivers bearings had some water in there. But all in all not too bad…
now it’s time to go self quarantine! C ya later crazy world. Nothing that climbing and camping and buses can’t fix!
