Hey Alykat…that would be pretty wild if we have met.

It sure was a place to party ,party ,party.Some great music from Jimmy Ibbotson and Jeff Hanna.And where else could you sit and drink “below the waterline’. Casey was so good to work for and Jack Coffee’s kitchen produced some of the best food i’ve eaten.

We lived just near to the Glory Hole Park next to another aussie,Paul Harris,who worked at the Charthouse.We also worked mornings at the Blue Star Lodge ,where the owner ,Bruce, had a 23 window out the back , buried in the snow. I’ve often wondered what happened to that bus.

Spent many a night at the Chart House as well.   ^^  Just wondering if you were at Bugatti’s the night Bobby Mason was on stage, had a few too many during the breaks, and fell off his stool singing and playing all the way to the floor ? Good times.

I do remember meeting Bobby and watching him play,however don’t remember that night …..there seemed to be plenty of folks falling off stools at Bugatti’s….too much nose candy and margaritas…hey it was the 80’s !!! .What a great time to be alive and rockin’

’twas a simple life.Pre personal computers,mobile phones,the net, FB and EVs.Back when you wrote a postcard to friends and made a ‘call collect’ phone call to your parents ,from a phone box ,when you were in the shit for money in some far flung destination and used a road map.

Let’s make that track a solid plan!!!! Bubba and I are itching to head over there, how’s about getting something together in your head then after KOH and surgery you can spend some rehab time directing our labor and pointing at shit you want moved!!! Get together something that works and just keep dialing it in!!! Rebuilding classic race courses sounds incredibly nerdy and kinda cool!👍👍👍👍👍👍

Instead of saying there was a an unfortunate turn of events that lead to my retirement… I am going to say my 5th spine surgery brought that on!!! 😎  I have my pre-op this morning..  laminectomy at L2..  Level above my fusion..

I was simply lead to the decision by multiple events.. 😎  😎 😎

There is already like 6 VW’s over there.. 😎  I say we try and get anything fixable over there.. Clean up and cut up and junk the rest..  Organize my sheet metal pile and sell some shit… 😎  I dunno about moving the big ass semi trailers though… Maybe put em on the outsides like walls around the Lot? 😎

The convex could be a sweet drivers stand… 😎

So John, before you do anything radical, you and I should sit down and talk. Get through KOH, get the surgery, and I’ll come down and tell you about a thought or two I have.
