Gutted the inside. it was so gross it needed to go in the dumpster. Adjusted the altitude by cutting 1.5 coils front and rear. Weight reduction with some lightened bumper reinforcements.

Bodywork, flares and trying to get zero offset wheels to work.

Exhaust. $25 tuner muffler. gutted catalytic converter. Some new stopping power and indy car mirrors.

Gauge install. Tach, ecometer, vacuum and coolant temp (factory one didn’t work), steering wheel. and paint.

Swapped the headlights for more aerodynamics.

Hahaha….this is awesome.  Nice work.  Do you have to start vaping now when driving it?  ?

Aren’t the engines in those things like 3 cylinders and get 45-50 mpg?

I’d never vape, that shit is stupid

this is a 1.0L 3 cyinder 5 speed manual. Still tweeking things, best I’ve got is 41.3MPGs driving it like a racecar.

Nicely done. I got rid of a couple of these last year. Just couldn’t generate enough energy to work on them.  Seeing how nice yours turned out, maybe I should have spent a little  of time on them. Might have turned a bit better profit.

I like it! Good job on the metro! I remember when a few of those little cars got used up DB drag racing! They put up some big numbers with them.
