Sooo… I am on bumpers and wheels today!!  Gonna run these up and get dismouted, check for hub cap clips and get in the blast booth.  then bumpers torn apart, hammered etc, into the blast booth…. Get some sand, get suited and blast… 😎  😎

My back says get back to work Jones… 😎

Pat os already hammering on shit… Buddy is probably thinking about some coffee…. 😎  😎

Fabbing and fitting this morning to get the batt tray area back together.

Welded up the holes left from the temp batt tray. Waiting on a side tray to arrive to finish this area. 

Apron repair done. 

Starting on factory style safari nut plate mounts.

wheels are at tires shop… keeping tires I assume?  Sand is in booth, I am about to get everything else ready for basting. 😎

This rocker is softer than bambi’s heart.. but you say leave it right??

Man these bumpers still had 14 headed 8mm bolts…. too cool…. 😎  I like that kinda shit… 59.. last of them bolts I think..

These spacers were the only thing really rusted together…. heat got one… 😎

I made some progress yesterday… about 4 hours worth… 😎  Going to hammer out these blades, weld in a few nut zerts that are missing and fit the new parts to the old blades and then abrasive cleaning!!!!!!

Pat will continue to weld and repair!  He was working on safar’s and OG style nut plate insert mounting system… 😎  😎

Safari nut plates in. Need to weld up the install holes still. 

The night/day sun visors in this are cool!!

Metal arrived yesterday.

Factory style Safaris…ugggghhhh……fabed tiny patches, weld, grind.

No one makes OG safari stepped rivets, that I could find. Spun up some bushings to fill the gap.

JJ and I hammered the rivets home.

Couple of hours into my day already. Heat was not enough to get the pin out of the ebrake. Had to cut the pin as usual. 

Center safari tab in, fitting outers now.

JJ finished straightening bumper blades and fitting new over riders/towel bars. He is out in the blast booth now.   

I finished welding safari tabs. The screw on dash tabs will be done after seal install.  

Knocked out front floor fit. Decided to seal/ paint the bottom side before install. 

We will build it if it comes.
