    Finished tear down today. Stripped roof and nose both are super nice and straight. Have not found any body filler yet.

    ^^ No surprises yet…..but…the blast booth will tell all.

    Finished stripping outside of shell to day.

    Few areas that will need some rust repair. Lower dog legs.

    Long side outer rocker. Inner rocker to be determined.

    Started dissecting cargo door rocker. Will need a new rear pass jack point, a section of cargo floor, inner/outer rocker, lower pass side rear rocker, top hat section, and some other patches in the front wheel well area.

    Pat,

    When you strip a bus like what is your tool of choice? Obviously a wizz wheel of some sort but what diameter discs and grit are you using?

    I like the 7″ angle sander with 8″36 grit paper. Low speed and lean into pretty good. High speed will wear out the paper really fast and heat up the panel.

    Fully disassembled removables today. Every thing came apart smoothly. Nothing pic worthy.

    Note worthy though is how dry and straight this bus is. Metal order going in tomorrow to Wolfsburg West.

    Bus is all blasted and cleaned up…… Metal work will start anytime now..ย  and hopefully go quick…. I think there were a few surprises after blasting…. as usual…..ย  ๐Ÿ˜Žย  well get some pics up later for ya..

    Is that spray foam in the rocker?ย  Looks pretty clean overall…should be quick work for you guys.

    she did have some spray foam up in them rockers…. ๐Ÿ˜Žย  ย this is a clean bus..ย  Metal work should zip on by!!!!!!

    I seen a pretty large pile of dirt on the floor as I walked past yesterday. Funny how much falls out of a “clean bus” when the rockers get cut open

    Started on the drivers side. Dissected out the junk. Outer rocker was toast, jack point also. Only lost a small section the inner rocker and a top hat.

    Patched up the drivers dogleg, lower door seal channel and section of the bulk head so far.

    Fit and burned in inner rocker section this morning. Outer fit and tacked in. Should have rust repair along drivers side finished up tomorrow except for a small section of cargo floor.
