Noticed the bulkhead was white like the exterior? Thought they were all in primer? Has this been painted or is it another anomaly!! Never seen a bench Panel without upper vents!!! πŸ™‚

Brushed white paint on the bulkhead and rear luggage shelt. Original camper mod? I’m not sure.

The headliner looked like a riviera type. I don’t know my camper conversions well enough to say what this one is for sure. Maybe someone else can clarify?

Finished tear down today. Stripped roof and nose both are super nice and straight. Have not found any body filler yet.

Are any surprises expected on this one? Β It looks really solid.

    Pat,

When you strip a bus like what is your tool of choice? Obviously a wizz wheel of some sort but what diameter discs and grit are you using?

    ryans65,

I like the 7″ angle sander with 8″36 grit paper. Low speed and lean into pretty good. High speed will wear out the paper really fast and heat up the panel.

Fully disassembled removables today. Every thing came apart smoothly. Nothing pic worthy.

Note worthy though is how dry and straight this bus is. Metal order going in tomorrow to Wolfsburg West.

We will build it if it comes.
