Barndoor bus builders are an insane bunch, especially this dude Ben over in the UK. Check out the projects he’s taken on, and surprisingly finished (with the exception of the Forest Bus and Duraclean, which are in progress). Hat’s off to him for getting these back on the road.
Barndoors and the people who own em are a lucky bunch…. 😎 That guy is doing some awesome work..
There was nothing quite like pulling into Octo or even the host Hotel back in the Classic days in a Barndoor Deluxe.. OG paint non the less, and hammered back when that was cool…. 😎 and always had the family with me too… 😎
I hope to own another BD someday.. Franz has an awesome one to do.. 😎
A couple of months ago a buddy sent me some photos of a single cab he found on the side of the road. He was planning to drive to Alaska this summer, but because of the border closure he had to adjust his plans. In the NW corner of Minnesota, right across from the Canadian border he spotted a bunch of beetles on someone’s property. Among a bunch of late models was this ’53 single cab! He spent another month or so traveling, all the while texting back and forth with the owner. They made a deal, and we drove up a couple weeks ago and picked it up. 3000 miles round trip in a 1980 Chevy, in 3.5 days 😎 . All of the headlights, emblem, etc were in the dude’s garage. We found all 5 original 16″ wheels in the woods. Canadian import truck, sold new in Winnipeg. They’re still out there!
