I need this.

-30 feet of 5/8” rubber heater hose? Hose clamps that fit it. 2 Boxes from Napa.

-new upper stock vanagon coolant hose

-head gasket kit

-5/8” barb “t” fittings and some 5/8” straits.

 

audrey, think we could delete the rear heater? It would make the front one work better, and less places to have an issue like you did.

I’m going to add a second coolant temp sensor to the system, to give us options. Also will send my o2 sensor kit so i can do some tuning to help bring up the mpg.

Is an ‘86 vamagon so complicated you can’t make all the OG systems work? I remember this guy putting a heater in the REAR of his subisuper.

I’m reluctant to have you take the rear heater out because it’s the only one that works really well and warms the whole van up!! Plus the front fan is LOUD! From the inside and the outside…. maybe if we fix that..? 😁

I’m on my second engine in my red Suby wagon ……and this one just blew a head gasket. Love the cars but hate the stupid engines.

Been busy trying to get all the loose ends taken care of here.

Booked a flight just now.

see you guys Sunday night. 6:15pm the plane lands.

Saturday the 19th I’ll need a ride back to the air port to head back here, that flight takes off at 6:30pm.

 

Order some headgasktets from napa now, 2.5 subaru single over head cam.

order some 5/8” rubber heater hose.

We should be good. I think by mid Tuesday I’ll have it back in action if All the Parts are intown. I plan on going on some drives with it, long ones too!!!

..I’ve only seen snow, never been in it.
