I sure do have some sweet photos of this bus from the trip, just need a good connection to upload them. I see why Jackson Hole and Idaho roadtrips are popular… Beautiful areas.
Yup! We knocked it out and left a wake of destruction behind us in the shop! New brakes, soft lines, trans mounts, cleaned out the gas tank, hogged out the bell housing, changed the axle boots, fluids, and stabbed the motor in. We got lucky and only had a few hang-ups, but it was a whole weeks worth of 3am nights and 7am mornings. KCW has really become a 24/7 shop with us working late overlapping with Pat coming in early. Pretty fun.
Thank you John, Gretchen, Franz, Pat, Cole, Zack, and Wes!! Really couldn’t have done it without you all.
One of the most annoying things wrong with this bus was that someone had cut the rear cargo door hinges so that the door was only held on by the door spears.
Had to burn the screws out and smack the other hinge pins out. Welded in a new nut plate and painted the hinges. Good as new once it’s hung tomorrow!
