in reply to: Coles SWR DD Pamper #46060
Cole, after re-reading my comment, I’m going to apologize. I didn’t mean to come off in a dick like way, sorry dude. As far as the bay beam, I’ve had a few buddies over the years swap those in and love them. They were able to get the lift they needed for bigger tires without having to run adjusters as well as getting the later brakes (cheaper parts/slightly better stopping power) One guy even running the disc brakes with adapters. AS far as the lower tube sitting 1″ lower I can’t say, but I’ll take Franz’ word for it for sure. Anyways, good luck with the fix!
in reply to: Coles SWR DD Pamper #46038I’d go with the Bay beam as well, you’ll get the lift at stock bay height. And honestly, the shasta boys won’t care. Build your bus how you want not how you think other people want it.
in reply to: My endless projects… #45734Woah, that car is awesome! And what an awesome story to it as well.
in reply to: Road trip pics!!! #44810Wow…. Looks amazing out there!!
in reply to: My endless projects… #44809Mike, distraction’s happen. Keep at it and you’ll be camping in no time
in reply to: KCW randomness #44808Actually, phone dial’s would look pretty sweet on that! Whats the bolt pattern on those? Maybe some 17″ BRM’s
in reply to: My endless projects… #44791Man you stay busy don’t you Mike, great work as usual!! Didn’t you have a topic on Samba about your Vanagon?
in reply to: Mikes Dual Cab #39653I think that looks great, a little different from stock but nice and subtle. Great job!!
in reply to: Audrey’s Vanagon #38341You probably dont need a whole new tank, you can just order a tank reseal kit and drop the current one and put new seals in it. Rocky Mountain Westy will have those, you’ll need to know what size filler neck you have.
Holy shit, that Baja is sweet Scott! We’ve driven by your place quite a few times here and there but I never see your truck so we haven’t ever stopped by. You getting into 944’s now?
in reply to: 58 Single Cab for sale #37635Thanks guys, it’s a good truck for sure. It’s one that could go either way, fix it up and make it pretty or keep it sorta “dirty”.
in reply to: KCW randomness #1089Are those chrome backing plates? Shit yeah Rusty 🙂
in reply to: Pauls 60 Single cab #1086I agree!!!!!bThe grey does look nice and subtle and easy low maintenance color.
Absolutely John, it’s a great color that in person really looks nice, very subtle indeed until you pull into a VW show and all of a sudden your subtle light grey SC stands out big time. I definitely vote for light grey but it’s not mine and I’m sure whatever color it ends up being will look good.
in reply to: Pauls 60 Single cab #1079Yes another single cab build, I’ll be watching this one for sure.
If the light grey was the original color it’s actually not a bad color at all and wouldn’t hesitate to repaint it that if it were mine. Or maybe SWR if you want to change it up, dove blue is a great color but seems like 88% are blue.
