Hey Franz, I simply take the information and type up a ‘word ‘document, then print it out on a clear transparency and use an old school overhead projector .With this technique I can make sure the info fits the panel , before I start drawing.

The ‘on tap’ image is something I drew previously and made a copy of my own work..and as you can see… once I’ve got that on a transparency,I can play with the different colours.

As a signwriter, for many years I set everything out with lead pencil and applied it freehand. However, the interior LED lights used today make the graphite pencil lines show and reflect plus using the overhead is faster and more accurate.

…. all the work is hand drawn… they haven’t invented a robot to replace me yet .

    Thanks Kevin

Yes, I have some of my parents paintings in our home and cherish them as both are now gone.

As we live close to the ocean, I did these to brighten things up

Made a new adjustable and expandable wall easel to draw chalkboards in my new ‘studio’ using Tasmanian Oak and stainless steel fittings.

We demolish my old workshop next week to make way for our property sub division,so I’m now working  ‘in da house’ after 30 years in the shed !!

Great place and one of my favorites. On any given night you never knew who might be invited to sit in for a song or a set. Could be a world recognized musician or a lift operator who was a serious talent  (even some of us who weren’t very good) and great fun. Could very well be we have spoken in the past.

Hey ,what a small world that would be. I also worked at the North Star Lodge doing housekeeping .The owner there ,Bruce, had a 23 window sitting out the back in the snow.I always do wonder what happened to that one.

I started work for Otto at the Inn at Aspen just after the revamp from the Holiday Inn, but didn’t enjoy the black ice on the bridge just out of town, plus he would only employ males and we wanted to work together.

Paddy’s ,with the underwater pool view in the bar and the combination of a top restaurant and a kick ass music venue was ‘the’ place to work. Casey Cummins was a fantastic boss.  I also helped Rob Cozen and Hans set up the Fins Restaurant.
