Worked on trimming and drilling on the driver side cargo floor this morning. Drilling all those holes can wear your arm out FAST!
This afternoon I’ve been dressing welds on the passenger side dog leg and lower A pillar.
Time for the driver’s side now!in reply to: Scott’s ‘61 Shorty #58749Was grinding welds down on the bed all day. Tedious work, but it’s work!
in reply to: Panama Red #58717Today I got the passenger side floor close to being ready to be welded in. Had to get it all marked this morning before drilling a TON of holes.
Got it set in the bus. Needs a few more holes drilled in it before it’s ready to be welded in.

Been dissecting strips out of that area since!in reply to: Panama Red #58542Got that rear center section SUPER close to coming out. Yesterday afternoon I got about 2/3 of it cut out. Today I dissected a few strips that were stuck to the top hat then started to cut that final third of the rear center section out. Gonna get that area all cleaned up soon!

Next up is to cut out the rear center section.in reply to: Panama Red #58511Spent most of my day working on dissecting bits off in the cab. Took off a strip that ran along the inside.
Then dealt with two large strips that were sitting on the middle beam and the left beam.
After that I moved onto the passenger side of the bus and started dissecting spots along there.in reply to: Panama Red #58422Spent another day dissecting. Started my morning by cutting a rusty spot out towards the back.
Then followed that up by cutting out a strip of floor that was right next to it.
After that I dissected a strip of metal that was below the firewall behind where the seats would be.
Finished out my day by getting started on dissecting some strips on the passenger side of the cab!in reply to: Panama Red #58358Spent another day dissecting. I finished up the floor.
Then started dissecting other spots on the passenger side of the bus. Got most of the way done dissecting that side overall!in reply to: Panama Red #58330Did a TON more dissecting on the floor yesterday. Where I started: Where I was at by lunch:
Where I finished my day at:
in reply to: Panama Red #58272Pushed the Panama Red Bus in the dirty shop. Time to start dissecting again! 😎
in reply to: The ‘58 Hacienda Panel #58271Finished dissecting that panel today. Packed everything up in the bus since it’s being put on hold.
in reply to: The ‘58 Hacienda Panel #58212Did some more dissecting today. Went a LOT easier at the beginning of the day due to the thinner metal. Ended up cutting that cone shaped piece off since it wasn’t needed. Then I started working up the side of the panel, which took a bit longer since the metal was thicker.Metal showed up today as well! 😁
