Put clips in the door and quarter panels today. Then bolted all the fenders back in and replaced the fender beads. Bolted the running boards back on as well.

Scraped and washed the engine tin today. The pictures don’t do it justice but they look WAY better than before. They were all absolutely caked in grease.

    Badass hat Riley.

Thank you! Bubba aka mtnbus gave it to me the other week. Got a few compliments from other fans….and drivers 😎. I did a bunch of autograph hunting so I managed to get Tony Stewart to sign it to! Also got a NHRA sign and got a shit ton of signatures on that too. Was also able to snag a picture with the winner in Top Fuel Steve Torrence and the winner in Pro Stock Motorcycle Steve Johnson!

Vacuumed all the sand out of the Shorty today before I started trimming the bed lip. After that I dressed welds on the cargo floor then started dressing welds on the inside of the fenders.

Then stripped the front of the deck lid and sanded the back of it with 80 grit before moving to 180 grit for a few spots. Forgot to take a picture of the deck lid! 🤦‍♂️

Stripped down the motor and transmission today. Trans to the center section and motor to the long block. First time I’ve messed with a transmission! Also the first time I’ve disassembled a motor by myself (although I did get a little bit of help).

Got to do some clean shop work today! Reading some manuals and Dad helping me throughout the day allowed me to get ‘er knocked out. Got the engine out then moved on to removing the transmission. That transmission was FILTHY too man.6F6AAE4D-D66A-494D-A7B8-D13489D4FF7014F14CAA-413F-4806-8F6E-FF68D80F708FFAEE42EF-146C-4EB7-9C82-63665CDDAAE1B015C695-108F-4B8E-B217-563AC1DE801B
Thoroughly enjoyed moving over to the clean shop for the day! I like a bit of variety.
