in reply to: KCW randomness #2087
I need to post up our NEW T-shirts!!!! So you guys can buy some!!!!
Take my money! I’m always down for some KCW swag. Size large, one of each design if there are multiple. How do I pay? 🙂
in reply to: Pete's 58 Lowlight Karmann Ghia #1930Turn signal. It’s complete, but crusty. But maybe the wizardry of JJ/Franz could make it usable with some cleaning. Wires are in good shape and not cut, circuit board looks good:
I don’t see a way to PM on the new site…email me at pete@knology.net if you’re interested in either/both piece(s).

in reply to: 54 camping box #1926Nice!!! Does this brown/tan bus have Franz itching to dive into his BD? (After shaking off the hangover of cranking out these two of course)
in reply to: Pete's 58 Lowlight Karmann Ghia #1900Here you go…it’s got a few hairline cracks but you have to look for them. It’s solid and all of the horn ring pieces are there. The cracks can be fixed for $175 by Ruben (“belairman” on the Samba)….I was going to get those fixed then sell it for more but would prefer to let it go as-is.
in reply to: Kelly’s forever barndoor project #1883The pace at which these buses are getting knocked out is crazy.
in reply to: Pete's 58 Lowlight Karmann Ghia #1879Pete, You ever put any thought in checking out this show? http://www.euroautofestival.com/ VW is the marquee car this Year. Bit pricey to field a car but not bad if you check out all that’s included. It would be cool to see your Ghia on the golf course at Verdae greens though.
That looks like a good show….thanks for passing that along.
in reply to: Pete's 58 Lowlight Karmann Ghia #1878Do you have any extra parts you want to get rid of?
I have a complete ’59 steering wheel/horn ring with all the internals and a VERY roached ’58/’59 turn signal assembly. If you’re interested in either let me know.
in reply to: Kelly’s forever barndoor project #1834Well done boys!
in reply to: Pete's 58 Lowlight Karmann Ghia #1701The green one is not carrying much of that weight.
.
A minor detail. ?
The red one might be fun…
in reply to: Kelly’s forever barndoor project #1698What’s Kelly getting for interior? One of the Clara uber kombi kits?
Motor looks great!
in reply to: Pete's 58 Lowlight Karmann Ghia #1697Local meet on Saturday….about 436 horsepower between these two Ghias. 😀
in reply to: KCW randomness #1530Yep , ethanol sucks. I just paid 2.90 a gallon for ethanol free for my jetta and my 65. Fuel jumped 50 cents a gallon because…. HURRICANE! Hey Pete and Scott and all you other lowland costal SC, GA, and FL guys. What’s your plans? You going to evacuate or try to ride it out.
Watching the track; plan is to stay for now. My mother has not been in great health so we’re getting her to Atlanta to stay w/ family so there’s no interruption in her dialysis.
I feel for the FL folks. Hang in there.

in reply to: Kelly’s forever barndoor project #1335You guys are going to miss having to push this pig around the compound…it’s been a way of life for the past six years. 😀 😀 😀
The details on both of the bd’s are great. You all outdo yourselves with each build.
in reply to: 54 camping box #1334Beautiful work. It’s a piece of art.
