Riley and I put some time in on this yesterday.

Got a deal on a donor trans from local Matt. Thanks! Cleaned the crusty off the outside yesterday. It looked like the starter before.

Riley prepped frame horn seams for welding.

Started fitting the torsion adjuster.

CHOP IT!! Fuck stock!!

Finished fitting adjuster this morning. Ready to tack in.

Finished the drop spindle swap this morning. EMPI spindles went right on with no mods. Ready to drive home.

Has just the slightest nose down rake now. Looks great!!!

Another VW that just moved to town. Checked card jetting and a basic tune up. Done.

 

Parts arrived this morning for a 2” drop spindle swap on Matt’s bay. Digging in.

Added a few more tabs to help keep the panels flapping and rattling around too much…..A couple on each rear quarter, one along the floor, and one on the cage,  13 total…feels lucky!!!!

There was a lot of small bits of manufacturing debris in the fuel cell. Cleaned it out good and installed the Holly mat. 

Repositioned the filler neck towards the pass rear qtr. window and installed the fuel cell.

Fire wall is finished…except for the bead rolling….I leave that for JJ to have fun with.

All of the fab work will be done tomorrow!!!!!!!

Trimmed out the drivers side fire wall section yesterday. Fit the panel tabs.

Bit of a dance to get this panel in the car….Stoked on the panel fits!!
