Rolled this one back in yesterday afternoon.
Started to install engine bay tar board. Found all of the retention tabs broken off.
Fabed and epoxy sealed new tabs, painted them this morning. Going to panel bond them in so we don’t have to weld.
New seal for the steering box, assembled and painted. Rounded up all the other bits.
Mixed up some sauce.
Loosely bolted everything together. Tightened them up this morning. Ran out of moly before the the whole front end was lubed.
Come on NAPA open up! I need more lube!

Windows back in place. Need to order a new front..😢😢…also noticed the alternator light was not working..tests led to a bad alt…also ordered.

Pass side done. Headliner in. Window rubber arrived today. Should have this wrapped up tomorrow.

Jim dropped his ’57 off last week after bolting on his freshly restored Koch batwing wheel.
It’s here for a new headliner. Removed what interior there was this morning. Cleaned up and ready to start on padding.

Rear suspension mock up underway this morning.
Chopped the spring plate stops.
Need to trim down the pivot busing sleeves. I’m sure this will be one of many little “problems” I’ll have to work through in this process.

Cleaned the clutch tube this morning.
Assembled and installed the pedal cluster along with a new clutch cable.
Tunnel mat trimmed around pedals and front floor mats in. More next week.

Focused on interior work today.
Seam sealed around the rear parcel tray where the old sealer had crusted away.
Laid down insulation.
Followed by the carpet. I dig the blue color!
Rockers wrapped, tunnel and rear rubber mats in.
Mounted rear seat belts, clipped in quarter panels, bolted in the rear seat back, and popped in the base.
Turning out killer!!!
