Couple pics for Saturday’s paint session.

Also undercoating backsides of fenders, brush guards and batt. tray mounts. 

Mounted up rear tail section yesterday.  Dropped it in the process, ahhhhhh!!!  Will get that fixed up and repainted when I paint the mirror mounts. 

Stabbed in shift rod, hooked up drop shift coupler, and shifter. 

Battery mount all bolted down. Nose and doors going on today.

I kicked ass on Mikes Baja today. 2 sealer and paint sessions. Back sides of some stuff will go Neon L31, others will be undercoated.m black.

Round 1 sealer.

Round 1 paint.

Dogs somewhere in between.

Round two paint. 

More tomorrow. Still open for business as far as I know.  🧐🙏

^^ Once piece at a time, eventually I’ll run out.

I’ve been working with Mike on his Baja the last couple days.

He’s been figuring out all the intricate details of how a late model sunroof goes back together.  There’s been some groaning and mumbling, but I did hear a bit of cheering yesterday.

Looks like he’s just about there! 

I finished fab on the batt. mount/ storage tray Mike thought up. It was the top half of an OG tank he sectioned to fit in the stock location. Undercoated and ready to be bolted down. 

Made some dust shields out of thick innertube, and fabed up some mounting rings, to fill the gaps where shocks pass through the body. 

I could hear Junk rattling around in the gas tank while fitting it.  Pulled the sending unit, which was junk, new one on the way.  Got the tank all cleaned out and ready to hook up to the new vent line I bent up.

No sender on the unit…WTH??

All shocks and reservoirs mounted.
