Bumpers turned out great!
JJ is in the booth now taking care a a big’ol L41 paint session currently.

JJs knocking out paint today. Engine bay and bumpers done!
I body worked and did a poly session on a few pieces of engine tin. Also sanded and started getting parts hung for paint tomorrow morning.

JJ got the bumper repair taken care of, also started body working bumper.
Safari box arrived a bit damaged.
Missing a safari latch. We’ll check to see if we have a replacement.
I got the engine tins fit today. Few mods and repairs to due before blasting session.
Do you want to run this apron? Its should be a crank start. We have a fresh correct one here we could use.

Started on beam teardown Saturday afternoon. Couple broken springs, we should have replacements.
Both the steering stop bolts needed some extra persuasion to come out yesterday after they broke. Started cleaning parts also.
Cut the old beam up this morning to harvest parts for the new one.
Pressed spindles apart. King pins and bushings are good. Spindles clearanced, reamed and ready for blasting.
JJ blasted a bunch of parts this morning, then moved onto some body work and SG paint touch ups.
Getting the bushing out of the beam was a messy job. I messed one up bit, already found a replacement in the stash. We’ll need to turn them down and the center blocks a bit to get them in the new beam.

Finished burning in the previously started cargo door rocker yesterday. Couple of cargo floor patches also.
Rear jack points went in as well. We also need to order a right front.
Cut off this syrup warmer? and found a big ass hole in the rear center section. I went home after that.
Crawled back under this morning and replaced the junk.
Hinge half’s came off the engine lid with out much struggle. Was able to drill out and tap 3 of the screws on the body, but lost the battle with the last one.
Made up a nut plate and did some minor surgery from the back side to get it in.
One jack point and fix the clutch cable tube where it has broken loose and metal work is done!!

Batt tray, and mud flap done. Had to fab up a pass side mud flap, had a driver side to use as a pattern.
Finished burning in drivers side inner rocker that was previously installed but not fully welded in. Made up s closing panel as well. Solid now!
Drivers side lower dogleg was fucked. We had a replacement on the shelf. Cut out the junk and burned in some fresh funky green! Baaamm!!!

Batt tray was not attached very well, seams like a necessity.

I wore my p/c’s out!!
I’ve been burning at least 2/3qt a week just driving around, a run out to the desert would burn a quart alone.
So I spent the last couple days putting new p/c’s on a good short block I had I’m my stash.
Also changed over to a single dual 40mm carb set up. Got everything back together and driving last night.
Bit more dialing in is needed then it’s time for a king/link rebuild on the front end.
Big THANKS to JJ for use of tools space and everything else you give me access to here.
