Started on beam teardown Saturday afternoon.  Couple broken springs, we should have replacements. FCEF39EA-5FFB-45D3-A0B0-525D302663F121B1D816-7A34-4723-9F0C-C8C2F2704C2A

Both the steering stop bolts needed some extra persuasion to come out yesterday after they broke. Started cleaning parts also. A7BEE00C-5874-43DE-B9FE-0275E73F5589798B1F7A-CED7-440E-BDBF-74923CFC2E00A7760771-64CE-4325-B9B4-B8C17F18625AAA21FFC0-8A5B-42C9-A622-26AEF9A9CC9F

Cut the old beam up this morning to harvest parts for the new one.34363C62-6ECA-457D-AE50-9BF26E1576AF1024CE28-CE81-42E0-8B18-13B041ADF069

Pressed spindles apart.  King pins and bushings are good. Spindles clearanced,  reamed and ready for blasting.554780A2-D697-4A38-AB35-8C5A8AA60400D7684A9A-8479-4F76-A9F5-E2B6926E3DE8

JJ blasted a bunch of parts this morning, then moved onto some body work and SG paint touch ups. 9535324C-A189-4D19-B26E-2F230340552DE5943B67-4205-4236-A7FB-120410C539EBDEAF2326-2D64-4210-B3BE-ABFB40C84C7B5D97BED3-B707-4A90-A510-1783F28F2D081D4F30B2-2BB1-4B2D-9D09-A469C6967368

Getting the bushing out of the beam was a messy job. I messed one up bit, already found a replacement in the stash. We’ll need to turn them down and the center blocks a bit to get them in the new beam. D9056207-D5F9-4E1B-8EA7-E06BCA2DD2103C9CDDDE-7C69-4674-83A6-8E939DA2B24C

Batt tray was not attached very well, seams like  a necessity.

Deep breaths or stronger drinks may be necessary Tom.

    I wore my p/c’s out!!

I’ve been burning at least 2/3qt a week just driving around, a run out to the desert would burn a quart alone.

So I spent the last couple days putting new p/c’s on a good short block I had I’m my stash.

Also changed over to a single dual 40mm carb set up. Got everything back together and driving last night.

Bit more dialing in is needed then it’s time for a king/link rebuild on the front end.

Big THANKS to JJ for use of tools space and everything else you give me access to here.7D46547C-DC56-42EF-9838-98C9945DE79DADF4988F-0F76-4325-86F4-DEAB6C475A48CDC9651C-E87E-4389-893C-EE6CB21505B3
