Monday… It’s full steam ahead on this…. 😎 I hope the blasting is done.. I haven’t looked. 😎 But Chris is of the know, that if it is not ready monday morning… He should stay home…. 😎 😎 😎 I’ll do it myself…. 😎

Nice!  It’s been fun watching Juan’s Ghia get purdied up, but it’ll be great to see metal getting added and sparks flying on my truck. 😎

Got your other parts box today too.

Cool.  UPS.com says the box with the disc brakes got delivered, but the parts box is stuck behind weather.  Should be arrive Monday.

It’s worth not seeing any blasting, to see how the paint on Juan’s KG is coming out.  Nice work!

No worries.  Just wanted to give you guys a heads up that some packages are heading to you.  UPS said they should be there by the end of the week.  I know there’s plenty of time until they are needed.

I took a couple of boxes to UPS today to send your direction.  One has the Wagens West “Really Good” Wide Five Disc Brake Kit and dual master in it.  Careful that box is heavier than it looks.  The second has a bunch of labeled parts that I was originally going to put back on myself, so I didn’t put them in that rubbermaid bin when I dropped the truck off.  Inside the box, there is a pack list, so nothing hides out in the packing material.

I still gotta send the gas tank (it’s new) and the speedo.

I also need to sort out palleting my motor and sending it your way.

Looks busy at KCW!  You’re going to need to start calling out altitudes in order to avoid collisions.

Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope you stuff yourself with Turkey and pass out in a trytophan induced food coma.

    Amazing delivery timing!
<p style=”text-align: left;”>It’s been a couple weeks and I’m still trying to get around to sending my engine to GJ.  I’m in LBC this week, but I’ll get it sorted when I’m back in Texas next week.</p>
With the speed you all are moving, I’m going to have to get off my ass and send the rest of the labeled parts from my disassembly soon.

    Thanks for the updates!

Seriously?!?  Does he predict when people are going to need them, and just have them show up?  Amazing!

Build up has already begun!  You guys are a machine.  Killing it!

The bus came with a funky, custom, low profile canvas cover. It could have trapped leaves for sure.  It also had a fabric sound deadening in the cabin that looked like it trapped a bit of condensation.

Keep up the amazing work and updates!

Looking good!  Even the heater tube?  I thought that was solid, then again I emptied about 5 lbs of dirt out of the heat wrap that was around the tube  when I got the truck.

At first, I was excited.  The last couple days, I’ve been afraid to look at the site.  Each hour the pile of German steel has grown, as have the openings in the side of my truck, as has the list for Columbian steel.  I’m glad the cutting is nearing an end.

The condition of that d-piller explains a ton.  The amount of filler back there, the ill-fitting engine hatch, and the unusable, pop riveted hatch-stay, to name a few.

I’m afraid to ask…Is the driver’s corner good?  We know it’s off a later model, due the crappy, patched-up, larger tail light opening.  Just want to make sure the corner profile is correct and matches what Gerson will send for the passenger side.

This is truck is going to be the newest 60-year-old German truck anyone has ever seen!  I’m excited to see the rebuild.

Thanks for spending a good part of your day in that crawl space under the seat.  When I cleaned it out previously, I spent a couple days in there…it’s not fun.

That’s quite a grocery list!  It’s amazing how much was hiding.

I figured as much.  I’ve seen that floor up close and in the gas compartment, it was pretty pockmarked and there were a few pin holes that I was aware of.  It’ll be nice to have a solid new floor.
