What a badass bus she is!!! Wouldn’t want to get that dirty and tired for anything else.

Still slightly butt hurt the engine that I did a 2 hour valve adjustment and stripped the rocker stud on didn’t make it in her, but that engine sounds SEXY and loves to rip!

What’s the next step Willy?!

So happy that’s how I’ll go down in history!! KCW really knows how to live… how could you NOT stay up until 3 am multiple nights in a row in a shop setting like that?! 😉 It was a week in a hot heaven haha

Shout out to Franz, Pat, Weston, Cole, Gretchen, Zach and, of course, JJ for putting up with me!! And of course William for letting me work on his stuff no matter how long it took me.

Soon I’ll be towing down my own split window and Will will be the one pumping the brake pedal for an hour while I bleed em!

What a trip this was!! My first VW event did NOT disappoint! So happy to meet you all and soak up all the vw wisdom! And thank you Jeff for the kind words 🙂 🙂 glad my personality didn’t annoy anyone haha

Here’s some footage off of Will’s GoPro I took of the Pamper, Cole’s ’58 Camping Box and the Jagd cruising up Wolf Creek pass! Crazy to see the splitty’s slaying up the hill and then Will max out at 40 because the Jagd’s intercooler fan broke… HA! sucks to suck..

Hi everyone!! So sorry for my lack of communication… been racking up some MILES in my sexy swagwagon. 😜

I wanna give a HUGE shout out to John, Gretchen and all of KCW for letting me crash there at the shop as I was making my way home… That place is beautiful, so happy I got to see it and I can’t wait to actually meet the people that have built it/live in it!

I had a feeling that people who work on VWs were the coolest of the cool, but unsure cause Will is kind of a douchey frat boy, ya know? But this trip and my entire experience purchasing this van confirmed that VWs bring together the BEST type of people. I’m so honored to be a part of the cult!

Here are some pics from the road:

• Getting stuck in Zion, but successfully getting her out ALL BY MYSELF… with the help of two logs left behind by the person who got stuck before me…

• My first unintentional VW “cruise” on the drive from CA to CO was with this woman who has owned 4 vanagons in her life before hand and just bought this one (that has the same set up on the inside as mine but hers is an 88!) to take her grandkids around!

•Last pic is of me trying to organize my shit with my pooch already making himself comfortable in Finch.

Hey man, Andy has been talking my ear off about this beautiful engine more than I’ve been chattin since I got here!!!

SO SO SO HAPPY. She sounds so naughty. Finally the end to being car-less for 3 months. MORE TO COME. Driving 7 hours back to William’s abode in Encinitas from Andy’s shop.

Just so happens I drove a Subaru WRX before getting this van so I’m pro conversion…. just not for 15k, ya feel?
