Awesome! Do you think that setup is better than the camber compensator new or original EMPI?

Franz, can you tell me more about the weld in rear sway bar. I am looking for something for my bus and assume I will have a lot of weight on top also. Was thing of rear swing out racks like the RMW on the Syncro but I think it will take away from the lines of the bus.

How is the sway bar working so far?

Nice Job!, what is the support made out of when the bed is pulled out, Aluminum? That is a nicely done Z bed setup, do you still have the dimensions on it? I am trying to figure this plan out currently for my bus i’m working on.

Looks like you need all the mechanicals?

Yes it will need everything new, slowly buying parts so I can hit it hard when the time comes. I am willing to spend most of the money there as its the lifeblood of the vehicle. I am surprised the more I look into it that the body work that it wont be bad, I thought it was worse initially.

Looks like a very solid Bus. Great find and good luck with the project!

Yes it is looking to be very solid, mainly rockers, floors, outriggers and jack points are the worse part. The white paint job protected the originnal paint nicely.

Used oven cleaner, goof off graffiti remover and aircraft stripper in that order over the winter. About had a heat attack from the stress as all of it seemed very tough on the paint and had to quickly neutralize it.

Then I tried Back to Nature Multi Strip in the Spring, put it on let it sit for about 10 minutes and removed it with little or no paint damage. Found it on sale at Home Depot. I will use it every time now as even if it dried it didn’t damage the paint. The heat from the sun is the biggest ingredient I found.  IMG_20181008_152245181

Here is the paint removed back to original paint, turned out really good! Just need some areas repaired and blend paint back in.

July would be another great time to get away, especially out of the city heat! I am game for anything but was thinking of doing a trip down to the HWY 12 area in July to check out the area for a good fall trip at the end of September I am planning for the VW camping page. I am sure we can find some hot springs down that way. I cant make the Boise show as I will be rafting that next week but I have always wanted to go to it.

What a killer trip! This gave me even more motivation to get my bus done for trips. Its on the schedule to start in July hopefully and “Next year” will in the bay to work on it! The goal is the first trip to be BBB. More trips like this give me more ideas on what to do to it. Cant wait for the next trip.

This trip is one for the books and will be talked about for a long time, It was a perfect group, trip and everything. John put it best “Still talking about it…  Still thinking about it…   That was the best rally I have been on!!!!!!!!!” Thanks to Cole and Derek for the effort put into the trip.

Had a blast with you guys again! I am placing a bet that Wayne will have a baja for next year if not in the next few months. Also waiting for Badger to logo his baja. Here are a few of the pics that I have. I have 400 more but going through to get the best. We definitely missed having the Thing at the event. Thanks JJ for starting such a great thing!

Sorry for the long 30 picture post but I couldn’t narrow it down and didn’t want to leave out any of the progression action shots
