in reply to: Parkway projects #2583
We’ll take about it more later.
in reply to: Parkway projects #2582Yeah, that is too low for a good driver. My red car drives like garbage…and wearing itself out with every mile.
in reply to: Toms rhd Oval Vert #2576Hey Matt, on the left shocktower that we were talking about 😉 Can we put the original beam number “1131492” in the middle with the other stuff.

in reply to: Toms rhd Oval Vert #2572I’m sure we have some decklid mounts here. Don’t buy any.
I have a 4 tab hood out back on my vert that Creig was gonna buy…if its better than yours we should trade.
in reply to: Parkway projects #2571Drive-ability today. I was looking at the spring plates. We talked about notching them. I can’t see any marks from them bottoming out on the stops. It seemed to ride decent when I drove it. I’m going hold-off on the notches until I drive it again.
in reply to: Parkway projects #2570I did my normal rounds on the engine, then went over and tidy’d up a few things.
- nut-zert on the coil
- re-routed a few wires and took off any plastic collars on connections
- swapped faulty electronic ignition for points
- increased idle jet to 55
- measure/marked true TDC
- adjusted advance base line and limit to 11-29 degrees
- hooked-up and adjusted choke
- removed the pre-heat flap from the air cleaner
Welded the spring brace back to the skin and touched up with some anthracite paint.
in reply to: 54 camping box #2568The rest of the NOS brake parts made it yesterday. The master cylinder looks to be 55+
in reply to: 54 camping box #2513The NOS wheel cylinders and shoe liners in damaged boxes.
in reply to: 54 camping box #2510Yeah, it gets pinstripes. We have a little more finish work to do.
The nos taillights arrived yesterday. They are very nice.
in reply to: Dario's Projects #2503Do you really want me to order you bumpers from WW right now? Big money.
in reply to: Kelly’s forever barndoor project #2501I finished the semaphore resto yesterday.
I drilled out the original pivot pins and had to make new ones. Step machined .116 to .098 and drilled the ends with .077 so that they could be flared like a rivet. Pain in the ass!!!
Original lenses too. After a lot of clean up they look nice. I had to order the brass bulb holders that go in the lenses, then we can install them.
in reply to: Parkway projects #2446Jdawg front and center. No joke about the oldmann not running very well. I just finished torquing heads, adjusting valve and running a compression test. The last picture has figures from the test. Looked good. I noticed some exhaust leaks. More tomorrow.
The decklid needs some welding around the spring mount. So that it’ll stay open.
in reply to: Bus vs bug nose cone height difference #2430You’re trying to slam a bus?
Installing a bug nose cone into a bus allows the trans and engine to sit lower, reducing camber when the suspension is raised.

If you’re trying to do a transaxle raise on a bus, a nose cone swap is not going to help. You’re going to have to get creative with the shift rod.
in reply to: Toms rhd Oval Vert #2345That looks sweet Matt. Can you put kcw on one of them somewhere somehow?
