Yeah man. I got it all fixed.  Easy stuff. The leaking axle boot just needed the hose clamp re-positioned and tightened. The idiot light was burned-out. Horn was an issue with the column ground. There is a wire that comes out of the column  and jumps over the rag joint to ground. You can see the spade terminal is on the wrong bolt here.

I have some slot head headlight screws that will make your repops look 100X better. We can change those out on Saturday if you want.

Thats a 49-50 ford car bumper aka shoebox. I happen to need it for a coupe that I have!

The hood side panel is a 38-39 1 1/2 ton truck I think. Bring it down too.

Roof racks are cool…but I notice they make cars drive worse. Wind noise and resistance.

Its only two wing nut to re-install the rack…which I’ll probably do later today.

Doing a couple minor adjustments this morning. I noticed the driver’s side was sitting a little lower. About to re-index the torsion bar.

I think thats about it. I was happy with the way it drove. Anything else Justin?

Had a cool thing happen when I torqued the lug luts. It gave a little twist to the center cap. Thumbs up:

All things considered, the wheel treatment is pretty subtle.

I’m about to touch ground and r-fuel with some ethanol-free.

The blends came out great. Super-happy with them. Like I said, hard to make perfect. Outside pictures later.

    Thanks guys.

We got a cargo mat in the other day.

I did bother Dave Fuentes about a front floor mat again. Someday maybe. I’ve been waiting 5 years for mine. 🙄

I saw that you had the rack off…did you decide to work on those wired spots on the roof?

Thought about it. Then decided I was getting carried away with the blends. They take time, and never look perfect.

Your car could use an entire paint job. I mean there are a lot of chips/scratches/bubbles, I can’t blend them all.

The passenger fender is tweaked. Looks like it caught the front edge under the headlight while backing. I tried to bend it back….but it appears to have been bodyworked in the bent position. The bondo started cracking while I was bending it back. I stopped before I made it worse. That fender needs to come off and get fully redone. Which will definitely look better than the rest of the car. The damage it has now is not so visible. You would never know unless I showed you.

If I were you, I’d enjoy it for a few years like it is, save some $$ and plan and doing a exterior strip and paint.

I’m about to buff the edges on the blends this morning, re-assemble and get this machine off the rack.

Better take Jones up on his binz offers….so that you can buy bags, wheels, c-notchs, and all that other junk minitruckers waste money on.

I came in yesterday to sand the primer and get ready for the paint blends.

Mixed in a little more reducer in the sealer than normal. My though was that it would lay flatter and make a better edge for the blend.

I got a heavy spot and some fish eyes in a couple spots. 👿 damnit! Not a big deal, but I had to stop to let it dry.

I’m here to sand them out and get some paint on this morning. Here are a couple pictures of my fuckups.

Cool. I’m having fun too. Thanks for having us do work on the oldmann.

I’m working late tonight because I wasted much time messing with center caps. I’m about to finish body work on some of the nasty cracks and holes. Paint blends tomorrow.

Lug nut washers inspired by Waste Management’s garbage trucks.  😀
