Probably just need to get a permit or something.

    Right to assemble.

Rusty has a no hop kit that he got with a transaxle a few weeks ago.

The sportster I had used some thick plates to adapt to the reduction boxes. It handled terrible. Acceleration would lift the rear suspension. Bad deal for spirited driving.

Also, from the little I know about sportsters. Is that most of them were home built from plans, so there are many variations of material and construction techniques. I think empi provided a couple hard to make parts like the nose and windshield frame.

The one I had was fully welded on a 57 pan.

Supposedly empi had some turn-key cars that they sold too. I think those are super rare. Like only a handful.

Man,  those pinstripes are hard! The beige is done. I’m happy with it.

The decklid is back on and awesome.

We’re about to send this subaru diesel back to boxeer.

This is a euro 6 engine we got. All the stuff he (greg blachon) has develoved is for the euro 5 engine. Its not the same. The 6 engine has more crap and is more complicated…not like what greg was showing on samba:instagram:youtube post. Frustrating.

I’m sure we can figure it out…Just not what I was planning for. So far, the parts and service from boxeer has been disappointing.

I didn’t intend to be guinea pig. 🙁

I don’t think you would have any oil pressure without the control piston and spring. I bet someone drilled and tapped the relief hole(in the side of the bore) and took the piston out so that there is not pressure regulation. Whatever oil it pump goes to the bearings.

Oil pressure shouldn’t cause your problem with oil coming out from behind the crank pulley. That is usually too much case pressure. aka worn rings/cylinders. Pushing air and oil out any vent. You could run a compression test to confirm.

Peet is loving it! This is not a easy swap. We’re moving along do what we can with what we got.  It looks like we need to source a few more things: Power steering pump/bracket, diesel fuel filter assembly, engine cradle/mount, coolant pipes, and intercooler.

The wire harness and ECU arrived and looks good. Adaptor to run any type tablet for engine gauges. Android, I pad, surface, whatever. We’ll need to get one and a mount for the dash.
