New shift coupler. The other exploded. Now I’m going to bring the oil fill/breather out with me to reweld and paint.

in reply to: Early Westy Sub Hatch Interior install.. PGSG 58 #44876in reply to: Coles SWR DD Pamper #44875It snowed quite a lot while we slept… made the first bit of driving interesting. But made it to Boise and the weather cleared up. I’ll have to try and figure out my wiper motor… don’t know what would’ve given up…made it back to KB’s! Good to be with family during these crazy times
in reply to: Early Westy Sub Hatch Interior install.. PGSG 58 #44854Nice wood you’ve got there Pat.

in reply to: Coles SWR DD Pamper #44853Packed up some stuff in WA and are fleeing the shelter in place there. Going to head to Utah to be closer to family during these crazy times! Tried to get to Boise tonight but got stopped just after McCall. Place called Donnelly. My wiper motor stopped working and it was snowing so much that the rainx didn’t do anything… turned back and stopped at a motel in town that’s letting us camp in the parking lot for free. Super nice of them. Road should be clear in the morning and we will head to SLC.
in reply to: Coles SWR DD Pamper #44838I have been climbing in Leavenworth for MANY years. I’m mainly a sport climber but I ‘cut my teeth’ bouldering. I live two hours north of Leavenworth in one of Washington’s secret climbing paradises. higher quality bouldering than Leavenworth, but don’t expect to find a guidebook or many locals willing to share info My good buddy Dave put up both those boulders above, he now lives where I do and is continuing to put up world class double digit problems. You follow me on IG by the way, I’m @sledvw hows the Spokane area treating you?
That is what I figured. Good to connect here as well. Dave Thompson?? Cool, Id be keen to check out new boulders. Ive heard of a place across the border in Canada that I may try to go check out this summer(if this virus doesn’t mess that up).
Spokane has been good! Learning a lot, loving the weather. But I do miss the desert, camping and climbing in Utah. I need to do more exploring in my bus this year.
in reply to: Coles SWR DD Pamper #44832looks like the forestland parking lot. Go try the Tea cup and Beautification! (that one is below the road on the river)
sled. How do you know about Leavenworth? You a boulderer?
Both of those are amazing!
in reply to: Coles SWR DD Pamper #44815Great few days out in Leavenworth, WA. Great weather! Bus ran like a top. Was like a ghost town. Nice for us, we had all the climbing to ourselves! Pup did great too. He’s a bit stressed in the bus, which I expected. It’s loud in there! He’s getting used to it though. Can’t wait for more camping this year. No better feeling than driving your bus wherever you want!
in reply to: Fucking Bubba!!!! #44814Yes! So cool Bubba. Love that bus
in reply to: Early Westy Sub Hatch Interior install.. PGSG 58 #44813Thank you Pat for all the attention to detail. This interior will POP! Cant wait to see the finished product. Getting it DONE as always
in reply to: Road trip pics!!! #44721Saw on his Instagram that he was driving somewhere! Lucky Glenn! Have fun!!
in reply to: Coles SWR DD Pamper #44718Out to Leavenworth, WA again. Good place with little cell service and good climbing. Also, got a pup! Going to be a good first weekend of camping out with him. Have to get him acclimated to the loud bus and camping because there will be a lot more of that to come!
He’s some sort of border collie/Australian shepherd mix. As you can tell, he’s vicious hahaha
in reply to: Coles SWR DD Pamper #44713Well, finally got my bus up on the rack. Didn’t see any cracks in my frame luckily. But something is going on with my driver front side… broken leaf spring in my beam probably? Saggy by a bit…. anyway. I’m going camping tomorrow, so no time for that. But I did grease my beam/spindles and re packed my bearings. Definitely had some water come out of my beam when I pumped new grease in there… haha and my drivers bearings had some water in there. But all in all not too bad…
now it’s time to go self quarantine! C ya later crazy world. Nothing that climbing and camping and buses can’t fix!
