Franz, you are a lifesaver! After you came to the rescue, we cruised all the way home. The Vintage Speed exhaust made our conversations very easy to carry on. I thought the first refresh 10 years ago was the best. But this second refresh with the same motor kicked ass.  So glad to be in the friends and family. Thank you KCW for the last dozen years.

Man that looks great! What an awesome job you’re doing on the bus. And glad Painters has the engine apart now. Hopefully not too much damage. Thanks KCW for the work on this deluxe.

You’re doing some great work on the Dlx! Under all that grime you probably saw some ash from when I was trying to replace some fuel line once. That’s when I learned to disconnect the battery when I am fixing a fuel leak:). I might of severed that Bowden tube when I was replacing a clutch cable. Only way I could get the cable through the tube. Thanks for giving this bus what it needs to survive me driving it.

I’m very grateful that KCW takes on Parkway projects. I get to drive a safe well taken care of vehicle. I also like watching the resto work that’s going on at KCW. Don’t change, or not at least until after BBB 2022:)

Glad you’re looking over those reduction boxes. Surprised more damage or even a broken axle at the last Moab trip. Thanks for tearing into it.

Glad the refresh is getting a refresh. Hopefully this bus will be able to chase the KCW crew, and the Ottingers, around for another ten years.

One of the advantages Baird and I had at the tail end. You’re right Rusty, it was hard to take pics on this ride.

What am awesome car collection Cole’s family has. Thanks to Cole and family for being the best hosts. And they said we could come by anytime:)

Awesome car show for a great cause. Only downer was not winning the 1915. Baird did win a sponsors Choice award. It made the flu bug he fought all weekend go away.

Even got to camp at Scofield reservoir on the way home.01444058-93F7-407A-AB57-50BA0E26DDB034C21FB9-305C-4F8C-A457-DAC870DBA0F8B8A8FF32-EE72-4CA2-9684-B259E93E736EA8440177-7A6E-4EF1-A08B-3A2132660D866112B9ED-487C-40C7-8837-2658E686C76A

John, we’re glad you were part of it! I always like to tell you each spring “another best camping trip ever!”

And the Dlx has the bruises to show for it:)

    That is one nice article!!!!!

Hated to leave the shop today. Don’t always get to see Franz cleaning mouse turds out of a Baja:)  But I left in the Dlx after three days at KCW. All my Moab body work is fixed and looks great! Even Dlx bumpers and towing wiring. Blasted and painted roof rack, ladder and two rims. Not to mention brakes, clutch, steering and a great tuneup. Thanks John, Frank, Pat and Doug for taking such great care of the Dlx and me. Can’t wait  for a road trip!!!

687BDFE3-D50C-4DC7-B656-FFFA6B646BF4This is a replica of what happened on Shaffer trail in Moab this spring. The 63 Rivera damaged the 65 Deluxe it looks like to me:)  All everyone could say about the meeting was how two old guys could be so goofy. The 63 quickly had his evidence covered up while the 65 saved his summer’s wages. Now the 65 is asking KCW if they have room for the other goofy bus driver to bring the Dlx in? Is Wednesday a good day? Thanks
