Watching you make that has made me want to make one out of metal. Total waste of time for me, but sounds cool… Leads me to, are cool ideas typically useless ideas?
I’m a mediocre wood worker, but have built a metal 6 string. If I can remember to take my camera home I’ll take a picture for you. Metal is FAR easier to work with than wood. But then, Kevin is a master wood worker.
in reply to: Road trip pics!!! #46379Hell of a road trip guys !
in reply to: on Craigslist…… #46377One of you guys needs this car ! I just looked at it a while ago and if things were just a bit different for me right now, I’d dragging it home. Yes, it has some issues (terrible paint is the biggest) but on the high side are a basically solid car, new pans, new tires, fresh engine rebuild, and a complete new replacement top kit. I think it is seriously under priced at $2200. If it is of any interest to you please feel free to give me a call at 970-872-4804 The guy who is selling it for the little old lady owner is Ernie, and his number is 200-4788https://westslope.craigslist.org/cto/d/hotchkiss-1970-vw-volkswagen-convertible/7118049086.html

in reply to: Motorcycle racket #45797Love the old TL 250. I tore up a lot of back country roads and swamp land in Georgia and Florida on those things.
in reply to: Sand rail show down #45796Not uncommon to see LWB 2 seats. With the mid engine it allows all your extras (fuel cell, battery, tool and storage boxes, etc. ) to be mounted low down in the frame behind the seats . Generally lowering the center of gravity. Looks like like a really good base to work from.
in reply to: Je$$e’s (aka Tintop) Projects #45712Thanks pat for fixing that seal and adjusting e- brake. My wiper motor sucks. U have to spin the armatur by hand to get them to work. A refurbished motor that works would be sweet. The only other thing that was weird is that when u swivel around in the front seat 2 many times it turns the nut on the button side so it unthreads its self and becomes loose. Not sure if u can put a weld somewhere so it does get loosen up with a few spins of the swivel seat. 4 bolts that mount the base takes the seat out and u can tighten up and weld. Thank you guys for fixing my shitt
Maybe just safety wire it ?
