    https://cosprings.craigslist.org/mcy/d/colorado-springs-2-honda-z50r-minis/6945747899.html Hereโ€™s what I needโ€ฆ. ๐Ÿ˜Ž 2 X50โ€™s, package dealโ€ฆ upgraded springs, motors, barsโ€ฆ. ๐Ÿ˜Ž I wonder if kangaroo would pick these up for me?? ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Hell, if I was selling those I’d deliver for the cost of fuel. You never can tell, maybe the seller has a good reason to come to Junction. Might be worth the phone call ?

Looks like Iโ€™m getting a 2 seater sandrail..apparently it comes with paddle tires. Havenโ€™t seen the paddles yet. ๐Ÿ™„ Itโ€™s a running driving rail. Link pin front end, IRS rear end. A single port air cooled engine. ๐Ÿฅณ Of course itโ€™s getting subi power!!! Some turbo action!

I see transmissions in your future..๐Ÿค‘

Funny. That is the same thought I had when I read this. As an aside, I have 7 IRS plus a parts trans on the shelf in the shop that I have had for sale $950 for all. You might want to scoop them up while you are out here.

Compared to a bunch of front range stuff I have seen for sale lately, this looks to be in decent shape.

Just got a picture of a slant chop that I had halfway done when I sold it. I think David did a hell of a nice job finishing it up.63 chop 111915 001Screenshot_20190814-214258

Can’t figure out why I still have this project. I do have all the parts in one place now. Bring a trailer and $1800 and it’s yours.

Where is this place of Al’s ?ย  I’d love to get into another Formula V or Super V even for just a few laps around a decent track.

Hey John….time to go on face book and sign up with air cooled Vw parts for sale. There have been several sand rails on there lately at VERY reasonable prices. Only thing is, the best ones (and really cheap for what they are) have been in Texas. Of course a trip to pick one up would be a great chance to visit some of the extended KCW family as well .

I would love to have this DEEK. I have a friend who has two DKWs one of which is a roll over and he has offered them to me several times. I believe I could make this all work out, but have a lot of stuff I need to get past before thinking about it.

As soon as I turn the engine off. 10-15 minutes of run time. The idea is to flush out trash before it settles to the bottom of the case. Metal from lifter/cam and piston ring wear. I can tell you the oil drain pan looks shiny like a pearl paint job in the sun. Super fine pieces in suspension.

Did the same in the little VW shop where I worked in Georgia. Then refilled with oil after it cooled, reset the valves, and took it on a preset 50 mile drive if it was going in a car at the shop. Drained and checked again immediately, refilled again and another 50 mile test loop before turning over to the customer. On build only engines we still ran and replaced the oil twice on the test stand before handing them over.

Can you baffle the pan so oil slosh doesn’tย  pull oil away from the pick up tube ?
