in reply to: JJ’s 58 Single Cab! #62422After staring at the Shorty for so long this one looks freakishly sized for some reason
in reply to: JJ’s 58 Single Cab! #62312Back in 2018 I passed on this Single Cab… The guy was missing a bunch of $$ things, I couldn’t get him to budge on price, and NO title.. Well a few weeks pass, maybe a month… and the guy finds the title, and Glenn ends up buying it.. He ends up dragging it here and hanging out for a few weeks working on it… He got some done… but never got back to it.. So it’s been sitting out back in my yard, getting NO love… Glenn now has a Syncro… and also realizes he does not have the space or time or money to work on it…. So. I’m buying it from Glenn… Something needs to happen with this little Gem… If your trying to work on a bus, and it keeps getting stalled… who you gonna call?? … I got a idea.. I’m gonna get it out of the yard, out of the mud, and moving in a forward direction like it should be…
OK Now I have a new 2nd favorite build to follow. Second only to the shorty.
in reply to: JJ’s Class 11 Oval #62169Look tougher than nails. Will they clear OK when suspension bottoms out ?
in reply to: JJ's projects #62128I would think that the very fact that every bit of your racing story is out there for public viewing is a strong point in favor of sponsorship. How many others are willing to show highs and lows and what it takes to get out there and do the work ? Racing is not always winning all the time. It most often is the time, the work, the money…but more than that the love of competition and fellowship that comes with the challenge.
in reply to: JJ's projects #62120Yup! I have never been to a shop more impressive and full of amazing things happening at a damn good productive pace. Top shelf people doing badass stuff!
Yes sir. Proud to be a member of this group (family) although I don’t get much done these days, every stop in at KCW reinforces why I got involved with VWs in the first place way back when.

in reply to: Scott’s ‘61 Shorty #61863OK…Here is the plan. Buy one of the bazillion dollar loto tickets twice a week. Hit the the winning numbers by the time the truck is finished, Scott has played with it and he realizes he really doesn’t fit well. Hit him with piles of $$$$$$$$$$ so big he has to sell it to me. I think this will work.
in reply to: PatK’s Class 5/1600 #61814Looking a bit like one of my old rides only a lot better put together. Like the way this is going.
in reply to: KCW randomness #61762Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Just wanted to take a moment and wish you all A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS
in reply to: KCW randomness #61757I think that is a 47 1/2 ?
in reply to: KCW randomness #61712Hey Pat. I won’t be there for the jouring, but you guys should have a ball. I did a lot of that when I was a kid growing up in Aspen, and been pulled by dogs, horses, motorcycles , cars/trucks, and snow cats.
in reply to: JJ’s Class 11 Oval #61627I have always been a fan of studs over bolts. On our dirt trackers we used slightly larger size because we had some troubles breaking stock diameter size.
in reply to: Motorcycle racket #61626I already submitted my application for the 2022 browncloud motorcycle race team. I was approved….looks like I’m a sponsored rider for 2022.
And that is how it starts. Next comes custom fitted personalized riding gear. Then a motor home with living quarters and a work shop, then corporate sponsors…… then us commoners will have to make an appointment just to talk to you.
But to start, have fun and be safe !
in reply to: Motorcycle racket #61598For my money Franz, there are at least 3 drool worthy scoots sitting right there.
