HEY! I am that guy. Someday. Funny thing is nobody will buy from me when I do want to sell.

Tell me about it About the only thing I haven’t done is pay people to take my stuff.

Thanks for the info Pat! We are going to stop by the place down the road this weekend and see if we can get a better look at that baja body and see if he’s willing to let go of it… hopefully he’s not a hoarder type whos going to “fix it up someday”… 🙄

Yeah, those someday guys are a pain. It took me a while to get past that point on my own projects and move them along so others can finish them off.  I still stop by once or twice a year to check in with a guy like that near Gateway who has a split bus that has been sitting for over 20 years.

Sounds like you are back East someplace. Any plans to be in Colorado in the near future ? I have a 4″ narrowed beam with adjusters and torsion leafs that I would take $150 for , but I don’t ship. Ever.

You are very welcome Travis. Glad to know that the last of my bugs is going to get the kind of attention it deserves. Have fun with it.

AHHHH 2020!!!!! New this year… Less me…. 😎 😎 😎 😎 MORE Franz….. 😎 😎 I am looking to turn things over to Franz this year… He has been my right hand man for 15 years…. He has earned it, he deserves it, and he is the logical choice. Pat K has also worked with me in the dirty shop long enough now, that I feel confident that he can handle any thing you guys can throw at him…. With the same quality and speed you have grown to expect from KCW!!!!!!!! Ownership is unlikely to change any time soon.. and I am not leaving… But I plan to be on the road as much as I can.. and someone else is gonna have to man the ship, make sure the work gets done, the LOGs and Billing and banking is taken care of and payroll happens without my presence. 😎 😎 KCW is here for as long as we feel like working.. There is plenty of early Volkswagen work to be done, and this is the most efficient and dialed in Volkswagen Restoration and Maintenance shop you are going to find on the entire planet… 😎 And I will continue to believe that till I witness something better…. 😎 😎 😎 😎

This sounds like an excellent plan !

I got word from Travis a short while ago that he has indeed done a test blast with the car. I’m looking forward to watching him do the Lands End Hill Climb race with the bug and his bike this year.

Rusty…take this from someone who has been there. Once you can let a few things go, it gets easier to free up a few more. Then pretty soon you can actually  invest a bit more time and money in those you really like the best anyway.
