Thanks guys! It’s been an insane amount of work but i really love the result. The van is so cosy now. There’s still some things to do, for example i’m going to install helper springs in the back to get the rear back up a bit. Another thing is paint the rims and buff the whole van.

The ghia isn’t anywhere near legal ;). It’s on airride front and back and even all aired up it’s at about 3 inches of the ground. Awesome car though.
One hell of a time to change the throttle cable on the side of the road though, can’t get a jack under it :p

Here’s 2 badass pics from the shop i work at, we only do aircooled vw and porsche. Just finished that bay, painted the whole bottom, everything new. She’s off to upholstery now and next we can get the windows in and done!

Looks great! But please take that fuel filter out of the engine bay. Not that long ago a client of ours his bus went up in flames because the filter hit the coil and leaked.
It’s all brand new, but still don’t risk it.

First post on the new site. I’ve been working at a vw shop for a couple of months now, while still studying. I’m learning one hell of a lot about aircooled cars. I love it. Last summer was awesome. Did a lot of meetings and drove a badass bus there almost every time. Anyway, thought this pic looked badass.
