come on DOUG is true…. and When the guys get the 912 wrapped up and think they will work together on yoru car and knock it out.. thats more how we want to start doing projects…  Not piddle along with one guy when two could be getting 2 1/2 times the work done in the same calendar time.. Sure the log reflects the extra labor.. but it’s more fun, better organized and less sitting around that way…

But I dunno about Doug….  I think his plans for the year are to do as little as he can get away with!

Doug was here today. Fitting the wood and getting the top mech just right before starting upholstery work.9F4F1FC5-A856-4C5F-AE19-406AFF34FCAE

I disassembled all of the chrome bits that are going to need replating. Some of it was like taking a science test you’ve never study for.C6314C34-7703-42E1-BD37-06F1E380CE8C9568FD51-22CE-47F2-83C7-7F3D8DFC7F029753B3AE-6F21-4EB9-B6A5-290C17811A6A

You were missing one interior door handle, decklid T handle/escutcheon ring, and the hood handle.  Found all of those in the KCW stash. Decklid latch mech as well.21B5C494-63DB-4756-BAD2-C1922E109C9B

Cleaned up vert top sill plates. 89EC84D0-FD4E-41A3-8030-C1B119AD10AC

Still need to get the tiny set screw out of the hood lock mech before we send this stuff out.FDEA9BE0-77C7-48B4-949B-D602A4B47295FA9E85E0-DAA5-4B8E-8CDC-034490A3BBC4

Got that little teeny screw out of the hood latch  mech, but I found a broken lock barrel upon removal.

figured out that a decklid T handle has the same lock barrel. Stole one from the KCW stash. Ready to send parts off for chrome.5CFDA078-0692-4C8C-AF3F-F465E0E73C7CD4327939-CBE6-40B6-A963-7F9936A5D78D

Cleaned, polished, vinyl painted, and installed the dash grab handle.597FD93B-3818-4346-AA9C-AC41421D8E066A9B21DB-D462-404D-B33F-3543AAF496759557BCFA-8B0F-4D11-BCC8-61BEFB1562FE2E333793-FA47-41FF-86F5-12118492708F65797F1E-BCF3-47DC-8602-A525C5C72E07

Started early today. Few more of the tedious little items knocked off the list.

I was able to get that tiny spring back on without disassembling the semaphore. Also got the bulbs installed. Need to order lens screws.66AF0564-C937-4116-9120-D5821AECCFA3

Started tapping the mount to check the fit on  the driver side semaphore and the little locating/mount bung broke off……😫😫😫EC1FA838-8ABA-4BC3-AD8E-1AAD73FD258E

Checked the passenger side, it was already missing…..Sooo…I welded 6 mm nuts to the backside of the semaphore boxes. Just needs a little paint touch up inside the box. Problem solved!C852B765-FF21-4426-8C95-8E6864438767A97D5EB3-3DCF-4EB2-8687-A4559EFD7DA4E894F9A8-540E-40DA-8B71-C07BAEA5B38104E35AC2-5760-4D70-B208-98F28CC88F4B

Speedo cable routing tube and cable installed.EBA6A5A6-695D-42A2-A06E-F2BE93F63879E19F40FF-3AFC-4E6A-A76D-DDA6AB04E522

Doug was here yesterday. He added the strapping to the vert frame to set the bows. He’s back today. Just about ready to start upholstery.20323511-28CF-4A2F-BACF-D56535C422F8

Pulled a vert only dome light cut off switch out of the KCW stash.BE58EDF3-E716-460B-9CAE-72A19F8634174494F3D1-1FDD-460F-A5DA-00165ED7DAB6

Fabricated a bracket. Cleaned up the switch and installed on bracket. Ready to go in when Doug is ready for it.D39810F0-A4D9-4751-AF35-1BD9AA90CB155ECBABCB-68A7-4F5E-8BEA-1B919AD4BC54

Also tied in the dome light wiring. It gets sewn into the top.F1CF73D8-A40A-40DC-B267-98E901B754D4552ED3DF-0FBF-4274-BE9F-FC67815D654B
