Glenn took this bus to Big Wednesday last week. Its always a super secretive “if you know you know” kind of event. I didn’t have the luxury of attending, but it looked fun.
In other news, my clutch seems the chatter a lot now unless you’re really slipping it with it revved up. I’m also seeing more oil leaking from around the transmission now. It really shakes the whole bus. I’m going to have to pull the engine and check it out sometime soon. Planning on inspecting the Bowden tube, mounts, throw out bearing, clutch, plate, and flywheel. Any recommendations on a new clutch and pressure plate?
I finally got all the clutch stuff ordered from CB Performance. It showed up yesterday and was promptly stolen from my porch…
I’m hoping the next set shows up in time for my days off for ThanksgivingBummer…. La sounds like some extra complications in life… I guess everything is a trade off.. 😎

I should be! I did recently drive the new Amazon van that we make. It sorta feels like driving a huge vanagon. We should start seeing these everywhere soon. They’re really really cool.

I ordered the new parts and they showed up safe and sound this time. I decided to work on this project at our relatives house so that every old kook walking around Venice doesn’t come and talk to me while I’m pissed pulling the engine out. After looking at everything I suspect the bowden tube was the issue. No drop in it, just a straight line. Throw out bearing looks good and its dry inside the bell housing, so that’s good.
I’m replacing the clutch, pressure plate, clutch cable, and bowden tube. Should be back on the road for a brewery show in San Clemente next weekend!
