It’s gonna be at BBB, but hubcaps aren’t cheap!!! Wolfsburg West wants like $150 each for them so I’ve got to save my pennies…

My V-Band clamp done broke… 😢Tiger sent a new one out yesterday though. I’ve been in contact with some local guys here who say this Manuel guy is an SO42 interior building wizard. I’m gonna go check out his shop and some of his work this week and see if I can’t find a new home for the SO69 interior I’ve got in it.

Willy, these are the hubcaps I have. They’re kinda rough. More than I thought. They could be worked with an English wheel, but chrome wouldn’t do your shiny new paint any favors. I still bring them along for you to look at.

I was thinking of rolling them smooth, and putting a coat of black paint for my bus. But I think I like the chrome ones better.

JOB situation is still in ongoing search mode, but its slow around the holiday season so I’ve just been working on other stuff. I’ll look through more of our pictures and see what I’ve got.

I drove my bus all around San Diego the other day with Tara and it did great until we were coming down my street and it started sounding rattly and was popping a bit. I popped the valve cover off to check it out but it was dark and we were coming back from the brewery so…. I didn’t get to far into diagnosing. It smelled like something was burning though, and definitely sounded like an exhaust leak was coming from somewhere.

Paranoia set in and I started worrying it may have burned up something important, even though it didn’t seem to be down on power and the mixture screws were adjusting fine. I finally got under to check it out and just adjust the vales for the hell of it and went to take the 1-2 side cover off and noticed the exhaust was bouncing around, hanging just by the V-band clamp and missing the hardware for the other mount. I thought “shit, if it was hanging like this it could pop off…” and thats when I found the 3-4 side header was totally loose.
