First motor was a crate motor. Second had like 40000km on it I believe. So shouldn’t be happening… but who knows…

 

just St glad it happened in Vegas. Not Baja. And even not in Death Valley where we were supposed to head next. I’ve been unlucky with the breakdowns, but lucky where I break down at least haha.

We have one more on the other blown up motor. The hard this about our motor is that it is the Euro 6. They stopped production part way through and now there aren’t a lot of parts anywhere… makes it interesting

Sucks to read all of this.  Hopefully the parts motor has what’s needed to fix it easily.

If it turns out the turbo was oil starved, as Ben suggested, is there any way to fit a dedicated oil pressure gauge/idiot light to the replacement supply line?

Well. Had a lot of fun in San Diego at Weston’s wedding!! We even got Cole to dress up  didn’t stop him from sporting his KCW in Disneyland the prior day 🙂 Since the vanagon didn’t work out for our Baja trip, we decided to tag along with the Bradburn family to Australia. We will figure out the vanagon when we get home. Happy holidays everybody!!
