Peet is back on final assembly. I’ve been assisting making parts and welding what I can. Here is the dynamic oil pressure and stand alone oil pressure senders. We could have farmered it up with some brass T’s and stuff….but I think this aluminum block looks much better.John JonesKeymasterApril 12, 2018 at 7:18 amPost count: 3677
I want to say I am Sorry to the clean shop….. this ultimate vanagon is an ultimate PITA… so close now…. this is the last one!!!FranzKeymasterApril 13, 2018 at 11:39 amPost count: 1723
Fuel pump inlet had to be sleeved up to 12mm from 7mm. I made an aluminum press-fit barb, and attached with JB Weld.
Pat is working on the spaghetti system. EGT pyrometer pictured below.John JonesKeymasterApril 16, 2018 at 6:12 pmPost count: 3677
I love this little command center they made… I heard this thing is going to fire up in the near future.. 😎 Peet has ALL the wiring sorted, everything is running through two large connectors for easy install/ uninstall of wiring.. This is how the “Kit” should have come to us in my opinion. cleaner than fuck, no extra wires, no extra loops of wiring to hide, no spaghetti wiring mess like you see on a lot of conversion stuff.. No wire nuts, or anything bought at home depot… 😎John JonesKeymasterApril 16, 2018 at 6:14 pmPost count: 3677
maybe a good way to put this is…. Your going to want to show people your engine bay.. Show them the wiring and plumbing and how “Factory” this is going to look and BE to service… I love how the whole engine and tranny can be dropped out in no time… 😎 not that it will ever come out… 😎ColeBParticipantApril 16, 2018 at 6:29 pmPost count: 774
I’m gonna show this thing off! It truly is pretty amazing what you guys have done with this conversion! Can’t wait to test it out soon.mtnbusParticipantApril 16, 2018 at 7:51 pmPost count: 419
