There sure are a lot of extra parts in these dellortos. ๐คฌ
Alodine coating
it takes a lot of parts to make such a sweet carburetor!!ย ๐ ๐ย Engine is looking sick!!!ย The first time it is assembled 100% takes a lot of time..ย and to assemble an engine correctly.. takes a lot of time.. You can’t throw this shit together like a stocker… ๐
Been a wild ride, but it got me here ๐
This engine is looking so fukn good Franz! Love the color matched Fram filter!
Not much to show just yet, but itโs starting to look really good. Spent yesterday working on carbs and heater boxes.
6volt backing plate, voltage regulator modified & mounted to a 12volt generator, Porsche oil filter bracket, and repainted Bosch blue coil with a vintage bracket.
Engine is looking real good, Franz!
The details are super awesome… The carbs look like Jewelry!!!

Stale air heater boxes on a 1914cc ๐ค
Oh sweet JEEZUS thats beautiful!
Keep up the details #franzbuilt
Home stretch now, cant wait to see Jones laying rubber with this thing.
Nice.ย I sense being very close to a you tube video of that beast firing up…โฆ…
Both carbs had bad bearings, which is why I had the throttle shafts out. I ordered new ones yesterday.
So many little details!!! Looking amazing!!! ๐
โLife is a waterfall,
Weโre one in the river and one again after the fallโDude… The polished brass pieces on the carbs… with the alodine.. sick!!!!! ๐ย Tom is going to be all smiles when he see’s this momo!!!
Been a wild ride, but it got me here ๐
Working late tonight to finish.
I am so happy…This engine is badass. The best vintage look 1914cc I can do. All original tin of various years, most importantly 61-62 stale air heater boxes… I also like that the fan shroud has the recess for the stock air filter to let you know that its original. Super time consuming engine build. 80+ hours on tin fit, paint, and assembly. The stale air heater boxes work best on a 1914cc because of the head-to-head width..I suppose a 2276cc could be done with some pain in the ass butt weld extending.
Iโm waiting on the throttle shaft bearings to run. Thatโs it.
