Still need to find that convertible dome light too. I did find the wooden base in your parts…but not the light assembly.

Anyone out in KCW land have the following they want to sell?

    1.  1956 vert dome light  (Franz, also do you have the vert dome light switch that does down on the vert mechanical arm?)

    2.  Hurst shifter (with the bent shaft)

Samba is slim pickings right now.  Franz, I will source these and send them to you somehow.

Getting into the electrical started by polishing switches and mounting fuse blocks. You had a spade terminal ignition switch…luckily Gabvwkey had a rebuilt original with keys.

I dug out a big M radio to send out for conversion.

Looking awesome.  Thanks, guys.    Can you help me out?  I am trying to understand the plan for the RHD speedo tube.   Was that ever fabbed into the car?   I don’t remember seeing it…but I am sure you guys have a good plan to preserve the OG looking strategy of the RHD conversion.   Just curious.

And John…we have a few “Rooster’s” spots around town.   we will show you around….

I’m betting it bolted down in the same spot on the left hand side, and ran over the right side of the trunk very near the speedo and probably tacked to the upright support that bolts in to the column bolts????  sounds simple enough… 😎   I bet Franz uses a regular oval speedo cable tube and extends it with some new tube ???  I’ll paint it.. ??? simple dimple?

This RHD stuff is all a pain in the ass. Having to extend shorten and change a bunch of wires. You couldn’t have picked a harder car to build.

You must be planning to go skiing at Unke’s cabin? 🙂
