You don’t need to make an excuse to come over and drink beers with us
Johnny is out too… But I don’t think he can party just yet… 😎
I have been tinkering with your rig… I am missing a few items.. and we need to make a hardware order… we are pretty wiped out since baja build!!! But I pulled the wires through and made a plan, hung a couple parts, and some seals… I will continue making some sort of progress daily. I’m gonna dig your seats out and get those ready too…

Let’s put an OG stereo in there.  Franz can sniff one out on Samba.  Lemee know and I’ll send some green.
I’m sure we have a original radio somewhere around here.
I’ve sent radios to Aurora Design and was impressed. They can take any vintage radio and upgrade it with new electronics, add bluetooth, usb and mini jack. Wtf good is a radio that doesn’t work?
This guy restored mine; he’s in Lakewood, Co. In addition to getting the AM channel working, he added an FM board and an MP3 connection. It works great.

That’s pretty cool, I didn’t know that could be done.
years ago I had a big M radio converted it looks killer in the car and worked pretty well too
this was done in 2008 and i’m sure they have way better stuff out there now
starting the install
Stock radio conversions are bad ass. A company called “Aurora” makes the kits. KCW had one done on that crazy black 356. Â I also did one in my Notch, love it.
Where’s the red leather seats!??
They need blasted and painted….. But no sense having seats sitting around without a car to put them in.
Priority would be:
1-Â body on pan
2- doors on body
3- convertible top frame repair and paint
3- convertible top assembly/adjustment and canvas.
4- window frame repair + chrome + assembly
Then we can think about all the dumb stuff like interior, engine, bumpers, and fuel system.
