Here is our final choice for the vert Colors:

    OG Shetland Gray

    Campari Red/Burgundy for interior

    Black vert top and Boot

I think I want dark gray headliner.

    Black seat frames, and pieces

    Restored black 3-spoke wheel.

engine plans are the same as always that Franz and I discussed.

YeP. What did we talk about on the engine again?? TypeIV with a single progressive weber?

Pat painted a bunch of RHD and other parts with good paint.

    Found our engine discussion………

Let me remember………. Engine: Franz will have all of this thought out. Tractor engine, stale air heat, straight cuts, A-1, vintage dels, Franz is just going to do his thing here. 3.88 Rancho prostreet, upgrade tank with overflow. Interior: stock seat stitching, 3 spoke split wheel, would love to find a nice restored Hurst shifter, ……..

Silver 40hp fan shroud, blue screamer distributor, oil can filter, decals cleared into the paint, vintage Original Dels from John, 1916 low compression tractor……..

I’d suggest a 74 crank. You’ll really enjoy the added torque!

Welcome back, John.  Your trip looked awesome.  Hey about the vert……. I think one of our holes on this project is still the deck lid.   What do you think our plan should be?  I know I sent some cash for a repop but I guess that guy flaked.    I see our options as this:

    1. Find and OG hood and pay $1500…..yuk
    2. use the existing hood and then we need to find and buy a rain gutter set (I see one for sale on samba now)
    3. See if Mr. Repop has a hood to sell now
    4. Fabro-cate a decklid.    (buy a OG non-vert lid, cut the vents from my lid, and source some rain gutters).

    Whatchya thinking?
