Also ordered fresh pop out frames from EIS. And all glass, minus front safaris, with the correct 62-63 logos from The Samba.

Damn the WW orders!!!   I got the email back about the glass too…   $2300 for fresh glass for the 23..  and that’s no curved glass. no skylights, no corners…  HOPEFULLY we can match those to the fresh stuff… 😎   I don’t even think of glass as a cost on my stuff I use what I find…. But this one needs to be correct…  fuck.. This bus is going to nickel and dime Tom all the way till the end….  8-(  I’m sorry Tom… But if we can stick with it… I promise we can finish it… 😎 😎 😎   damn it…

Put some time in on this rig yesterday. Cleaned up the fuse block, ran the sub harness, and started wiring it up. 

Partially disassembled the speedo to replace the red, blue, green warning light celluloids and clean it up. 

All the switches needed cleaning. 

Finish speedo assy and then we’re ready to install all of them. 

We will build it if it comes.

Pulled a 12v Volvo wiper motor from the KCW stash. 

Cleaned and tested. JJ pulled a wiper mech linkage from his personal stash to get the last piece needed. 

Only found one clock hold mount bracket. Fabricated a second one.

Cleaned up OG dash knobs. 

Speedo back together, ready to go in when parts arrive. 

Dash is coming along nicely. 

We will build it if it comes.

Started on Retro Sound stereo install yesterday.

Blacked out the speaker bracket for more stealthiness. Trimmed and fit head unit mount brackets. 

So many wires!

Speaker in. Shiny wiper motor up in there…😎

Barrrley see anything up close.

Parts started to arrive yesterday. Fresh pop out frames and emblem from EIS. 

Wolfsburg West order also. 

Finished stereo install. All of the dash gauges and switches in and wired as well.

Next goal…windows. JJ had your missing drivers side Sigla glass bottom slider in the stash. 

Stripped down front door windows. Rounded up all the frames and bits. Ready for blasting.
